EU is being very generous with Serbia as it is made up of countries that recognize Kosovo indepedence overwhelmingly and Serbia still has yet to schedule a Kosovo claim removal vote on its consitution

There's no need to rush. Germany may well succeed in majorly damaging or destroying the Euro and possibly the EU with it. Germany has benefitted considerably by being able to exploit the free market, but hasn't worked hard enough in helping the less developed country's to Improve their status. Unless more equitability can be achieved throughout the Euro project will degenerate, and possibly the EU with it.

We are about to come to 'interesting times' with Greece likely to have to abandon the Euro (with unknown knock-on consequences) and the EU having to address the UK's policy of repatriating much control to countries (so maybe causing the abandonment of the USofE concept).

For Serbia, the best policy is to keep on the processes of standardisation, - but don't feel the need to rush.

Mind you, if the EU is foot-dragging, just add that to the list of EU weak points. Serbia will do no harm in pointing this out to the EU.
