The SMART money is on Serbia I think you'll find. Just look how Serbia has recovered from 1999 it is unrecognisable. Yes there are economic problems but these can be resolved now that Serbia is not shackled to the dregs of the former YU who just sit around giving it large over the internet. Personally I don't think EU membership is desirable or necessary but whatever happens all roads lead to Belgrade they always have.

Serbia is not the problem in the Balkans, Albania and albanians are. Thinking they can steal territory from its neighbours and get away with it. Ask any normal and sane person what they think of albs. Only ISIS has a reputation that is worse.

Economically we are to involved with each other..
Albania have a constant growth of economy, that continues to be stable.
I was surprised just how much the imports and exports have increase between each others in just this 2-3 years.
So, i think this is one of the reasons, and the other reason in my opinion is that a really think that the only factor of the stability in Balkan must be just Serbia and Albania in good relationship.

Of the 400 non Albanians still missing of which a big number are Serbs, who knows? There have been reports of Serbs fleeing to other countries under assumed names in order to escape possible arrests for war crimes. Actual number don't know could be 1-2 or could be 100-200!

Pre-existing infrastructure of significance. Corridor 10. Geographically
situated for commerce. Upcoming pipeline. Bi-lingual population. University

understanding with Athens about how to manage the Balkans. A common language,
identity & shared culture with Mont, Bosnia, Cro, Maced and the historic memory
of those markets easy to resurrect bc it makes sense. The need for the EC/US
to have a friendly Serbia (10M people in region)

"Natural Albania" lacks most the above. It is understandable why this is
emotionally important, but it has no economic value nor a govt. with any
track record to provide for that populace. And were it to happen, Bosnia
would collapse.

Additionally the regional countries will feel compelled to ally in defense
from an entity no one trusts. Furthermore, the concept of natural borders
leads to a multitude of skirmishes/ wars. Emotional aspirations are not worth
conflict it will cause the world.

There is no evidence because its more convenient that way. So I guess all serbs that went missing were obducten by marsians. Srebrenica was not considered a genocide but you still claim it to be.
