If somebody said that Thaci killed X number of Serbs and he killed Y and X meant that he committed genocide would you not think it important to ger the real facts? I think you would because the shoe would be on the other foot then.
(Peggy, 7 May 2015 03:43)
IF is the big word here, you are talking about facts that have been proven in court and Dodik wanting to recreate the truth. As far as Thaci, I don't believe you have proof he has done anything, you have the rumors and innuendos that is quite popular among you and peers who were not even there.

Duly noted, but it does not matter whether Dodik agrees or diagrees since the international community has already already determined that what happened in Srebrenica was genocide. End of the story; time to move on...

Not if you're the one who's been falsely accused of a crime you didn't commit. It's like saying that you are a serial killer when you killed one person.
No death is good and nobody should've died on any side but in a war people die. What you attribute those deaths to is important. If you're going to have this argument that numbers don't count then all three sides have committed genocide. There has to be some rules of what is what and when you are talking about 4000 or 8000 or 800,000 and who the dead were it becomes very important. Calling Dodik names because he is concertned with that fact is just wanting to smear him for anything and everything.

You have to question the moral judgement of such leaders who can quibble over the number of THOUSANDS systematically slaughtered in such a time frame and then denied such was the case then question the exact numbers then suggest someone else should investigate the crime then try the old -"equal slaughter on both sides" myth to attempt to wipe away the horror that infects the lives of the survivors of Srebrenica, Foca, Prijedor, Bjeljina, Zvornik, Banja Luka, Doboj, Visegrad, Brcko, Zepa where the same terror was unleashed.

Consider 10 violent deaths occurring in your neighbourhood and your reaction to such then consider a hundred then a thousand then several thousand- it is a nightmare beyond imagining yet it is the living reality for the survivors. The other unnerving consideration is that so many deaths were carried out by hitherto known faces; neighbours, friends, social acquaintances, fellow adherents of civilised conventions and religious morality.

Dodik visited Srebrenica, recognised a crime happened there but then like the market barterers lessens the horror by saying only 4000 were slaughtered not 8000. 10 deaths are enough to weep for, thousands are enough to hang your head in shame and remorse knowing the numbers will never leave your history. It is worsened by the knowledge that the number of 8320 is becoming slowly the unearthed reality of the crime against humanity and the betrayal of cultural ideals.

Jesus wept. Dodik shrugs.

What exactly is the ICMP investigation if not "an investigation"

This is one of the more thoroughly investigated crimes in history.

There should also be an international investigation as to whether the earth is 6000 years old, like it says so in the bible, and God put the bones/fossils there, just like in Srebrenica, to test our faith.

That to me is more than enough of a reason for a new investigation.

It could have been a fortune teller in Malaysia who had never been anywhere else in the world and that would have been reason enough for you. And I don't think that anyone is afraid of a new investigation except Serbs in reality. The only reason Dodik says this is he knows that NO ONE is going to take interest in a new investigation.
The international community has accepted the facts to be true, there will always be deniers such as yourself and Dodik just as there are deniers that the holocaust actually happened. But they are dismissed as moral cripples.

Uneducated verbal slurs are the only tools you have in this case, whether I be a"troll" or not does not matter as I am among most of the rest of the world who condemn Serbia for its role in Srebrenica.
And by the way "troll" no longer is an insult on this site as it has taken on the meaning of anyone who does not buy into the ultranationalist propaganda crap you and your peers love to spread.

Ah, the political rhetoric of a politician in charge of a little entity where, apparently, not much is happening these days. This is a rather old and worn out debate. Those of us who've been visiting this site for years all know that the Serb nationalists/sympathizers will always argue that the available statistics on the number killed are exaggerated.

Dodik loves to stump about Srebrenica, independence for RS, the failure of BiH, etc...and why wouldn't he? Just imagine if he were to discuss the state of the RS economy, healthcare, education, environment, outlook for the future...

Why are the fascists so scared of another investigation on Srebrenica? Look up a man named Ibran Mustafic, he was a Bosnian Muslim war general and he says that in fact it was Naser Oric who committed atrocities both on Serbs and his own people in Srebrenica. That to me is more than enough of a reason for a new investigation.

Mr. Dick

What are you upset about? It sounds like you're not satisfied with the amount of Bosnian men killed by your serbian saints. Here you are mumbling about how the number was exaggerated, what a low life. You have been saving all those serbian criminals that should have been put on death row, instead they walk freely all over serbian territories.
The world knows of Srebrenica genocide committed by Serbians. I will continue to inform everyone, as I have been doing so at my former high school, and now in college. I will make sure I do my part to put everyone on alert about Serbian crimes that should never go away. They are already in history books, and you will continue to suffer until toy come clean about it.

You want another international commission to remind the world of crimes committed by Bosnian-Serbs? The most horrible crimes since WWII on European soil? No worries, this July is the 20th anniversary and the whole world will once again be watching Mr. Dodik.

Some 4000? Even Wikipedia says it is more than 6000 out of 8000 who were identified by DNA analysis and buried so far.

"The Preliminary List of People Missing or Killed in Srebrenica compiled by the Bosnian Federal Commission of Missing Persons contains 8,373 names.[1] As of July 2012, 6,838 genocide victims have been identified through DNA analysis of body parts recovered from mass graves;[27] as of July 2013, 6,066 victims have been buried at the Memorial Centre of Potočari."

I think the Srebrenica massacre is probably one the best investigated war crimes in the recent history, and this moron Dodik wants another 'commission'.

Questioner

pre 8 godina

4000? I recommend Mr. Dodik to go Potocari and count the tombstones and names of the victims by himself, maybe then he stops downplaying the numbers. What a shame, that 'president'

What an idiot! The crimes of Srebrenica have had their day and the world has recognized it as what it is. Now is the time for healing. Does he think that opening the wound and renewing the fester, he is going to benefit the Serbian people in any way?
If the numbers were reduced, which highly unlikely at this point, do you think that the world really is going to sing praises of Serbs since they only slaughtered 4000 vs 8000 in 2 days.
Srebrenica is considered a crime of the past for the world at this point, but if he really wants we can make it a topic of the present, in which every news article about the Serb Republic and in reality Serbia because of its close ties and the support, and housing its criminals for all these years, will also include a reference of Srebrenica and an ongoing investigation.
