, it will be like Cyprus, i.e. without the disputed, unrecognized territory (Northern Cyprus/Kosovo)
(Comm. Parrisson, 4 May 2015 17:10)
So are you saying that the EU in any way negotiates with Northern Cyprus independently like it does with Kosovo? Think you need to redo your research.
In what is supposedly a "status neutral" approach the EU does not in any way claim that Kosovo is part of Serbia, nor an independent state. But it does deal with the Pristina authorities independently from Serbia. There is NOT any Serbian officials present during any talks between Kosovo and the EU. Nor is there any discussion with Serbian officials on topics to discuss with Kosovo.

It's not. But there's another disputed, self-proclaimed 'state' in Europe called Northern Cyprus.

Good. It's a pragmatic approach how to deal with partially recognized entities. Better than to change the EU statues which is allowing only states to become candidates. So it's clear when the time comes that Serbia will become an EU member, it will be like Cyprus, i.e. without the disputed, unrecognized territory (Northern Cyprus/Kosovo)

More Brussels corruption. When the shitbags down the road from find that their own rules don't allow them to do what they want, they just makes something up. As much as I love the EU, claiming that EU law (the acquis communautaire) is sacrosanct and then flushing it down the toilet the first time it goes against their will, then it is difficult to take Brussels seriously.

Where is the rule of law when evidently everything is up for negotiation whether written down on legally binding treaties or not?
(EU Dude, 2 May 2015 21:34)

Not sure what are you talking about mate! What EU laws were flushed down the toilet?

Unfortunately that is not up to you, but the EU and the EU can make Kosovo part of the EU without prejudice to positions on status, and in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.

Yeah, since you believe that Kosovo is part of SERBIA, you'll get the asterisk after Kosovo's name as a consolation prize while Kosovo becomes part of the EU, so everybody is happy :) You can also put the asterisk in your SERBIAN rear end and ENJOY IT lol
