IMF asks Greece to cut pensions and hike VAT

IMF Director Christine Lagarde has suggested that Greece should reduce pensions and increase VAT, the Greek media are reporting.

It is called "structural adjustment programme" and will lead further impoverishment of the Greek pensioneers. Perhaps the IMF can ask them to just die.

Without debt restructuring Greece will never be able to repay its debt. That doesn't matter either to the creditors for it means longer debt repayment, with interest of course.
