Skopje asks Russia to cut customs rates

Macedonia has asked Russia to lower its customs rates for agriculture and food industry products that Macedonia exports to that country.

Stavreski explained that Macedonia exported some EUR 15 million worth of agricultural produce to Russia in 2014

VAT will be taken in any case so Macedonia will save only some USD 2-3 million. I wonder what will other suppliers do in this case ? Apparently they will ask for the same advantages. Because all those who still enjoy the Russian market are friendly states that have not joined the sanctions. But because Russiais importing fruits and vegetables for billions of dollars such a provocative proposal will bring Russia losses for billions. A very strange demand !
