"Serbia desperately needs a better educated generation of people"

Serbia has plenty of highly educated people - but there aren't enough jobs for them, so they go abroad.
The government officials aren't educated because they are western puppets - the west doesn't want smart (and patriotic) people there, so it helps puts in (or allows) stooges, spineless dupes, and those who will do as they say. That's why you have so many of the current crop of government officials with fake diplomas and with backgrounds of plagiarism.

It is ridiculous that the Serbian govt. thinks spending 33 billion dinars on the Belgrade waterfront project is a better investment than paying a fair salary to Serbia's teachers. Educating Serbia's children will bring a better return in the future than new apartment buildings and shopping centers. Serbia desperately needs a better educated generation of people, if only to replace the idiots that have so far been running the country.
