Western Europe will eject Greece from the Shengen area and introduce visas for Serbia again and close the borders with them and Serbia and Greece will be left to deal with a much higher number of migrants. Good luck!
(icj1, 12 March 2015 02:06)
===…==
If that happens then Greece implements a policy of "turn back the boats" just like Australia has and Serbia simply hangs up a sign that says "wwe are full" and no more incoming.
Problem solved.
(Peggy, 12 March 2015 22:27)

Exactly; we are on the same page. Greece will be frced to solve the problem that created by itself. Greece will be forced to spend billions on soldiers and police to reverse and stop tha wave of emigration that it caused itself as a result of the policies suggested by our dear friend Ari Gold.

I really wish solves the problems with EU asap and don't fall in Putin's lap because it is going to be a disaster for Greece.

Feeling threatened by the possibility of Putin being next door?
Since when does any Albanian worry about how Greece is doing except in the event that Greece is doing well?

There will always be new waves of immigrants. Greece becomes a revolving door and Western Europe will feel it, believe me.
(Peggy, 12 March 2015 22:24)

Yea, this is not a convincing argument. If that was the case there would be millions of middle easterners in Greece by now, in detention centers. The threat is empty.

Leonidas, I agree with you. Let them go and let each country decide how to deal with immigration. Greece, Italy etc. should not have ruin their human rights reputation by detaining immigrants in order to save other countries from doing that. I still think the minister is making empty threats.

Peggy

What happens then when they still don't give Greece what it wants to get through threats. Greece still won't get what it wants and will have no more empty threats. What then? Stop blaming others. You messed up big time, its your own fault.

Why should Albanians, for example,be allowed to go to Germany or any other EU country whereas Somalis,Afgans or Syrians are locked in detention centres in Greece (as ordered by the EU)? Greece should do exactly what Italians are doing and hand out travel documents to those immigrants to reach their desired destination.
(Leonidas, 12 March 2015 17:40)

FYI, Albanians along with Serbs need no visa to go to EU countries.

I agree with you about the detention centers, but unlike Italy which is next to Swiss and France, Greece has no direct territorial connection with EU countries. Giving them papers and shipping them to Berlin will not going to help Greece in the long run.
But we all know that Greek government is playing games with EU.

I think the threats from the Greek minister were unfortunate but from the human rights point of view all refugees and immigrants in Greece should be allowed to go to Germany or France if they wished to.Why should Albanians, for example,be allowed to go to Germany or any other EU country whereas Somalis,Afgans or Syrians are locked in detention centres in Greece (as ordered by the EU)? Greece should do exactly what Italians are doing and hand out travel documents to those immigrants to reach their desired destination.

I think Greece should do it. Only fools like this Greek minister see this as a way to threaten the West. OK so the west absorbs a few thousand more immigrants among the millions that it already has. What happens then when they still don't give Greece what it wants to get through threats. Greece still won't get what it wants and will have no more empty threats. What then? Stop blaming others. You messed up big time, its your own fault.

The usual idiotic comments from the Turco-Greek crowd.
Germany is not responsible for all the corruption in Athens, non tax collection, national unproductive tradition and boated civil service bankrupt regime in greece.
Most refugees in Greece are mistreated, abused and taken advantage by corrupt authorities.

EU must abondon financial rehabilitation of un deserving Greece and delete their membership.

NATO must also re evaluate Greeks unloyalty and terrorist threats/ actions (Novermer 17) ring a bell?

Greece must be booted from these organization IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

Greece & Serbia should coordinate on this. Serbia should help the kosovars find a better life in the EU since they are desperately trying to get the hell out, while Greece opens their borders and lets their migrants leave to Western Europe. A big FU from Greece and Serbia to the EU.
(Ari Gold, 10 March 2015 17:43)

Well, you did not think it to the end, mate. It you were to think a bit more carefully you'd understand that Greece and Serbia would just F themselves by doing that.

If Serbia and Greece open their borders and let migrants go to Western Europe, that will encourage even more migrants to go to Serbia and Greece with the hope they can get to Western Europe. Western Europe will eject Greece from the Shengen area and introduce visas for Serbia again and close the borders with them and Serbia and Greece will be left to deal with a much higher number of migrants. Good luck!

Greece's threat of terrorism ,and this coming from a EU and NATO member, goes to show you how ungrateful, unrealiable, untrusting and sick Greeks realy are.
(azir, 11 March 2015 10:41)

The usual idiotic comments from the Turco-Albanian crowd.Greece is not responsible for any wars in the Middle East or elsewhere and its refugees. Most of these refugees were exposed to horrendous situations in their country and life has no value at all. Many of these immigrants are committing crimes and murders throughout Greece ( albanians are top of the list)and Greek prisons are unable to accommodate them.Since the richer EU countries are refusing to share the burden of the ever increasing asylum problem Greece must drop the Shenghen agreement and open her borders so as asylum seekers can move to their desired destinations. It's that simple.

Greece once again attempts to black mail Germany for an increase in welfare payments and forgiveness of debt due to bloated civil service budget ,by threatening to abuse their rights as a EU member and do the unthinkable.

I suggest this ungrateful nation of traditional tax evaders be shown the EU exit door.
(Wasn't the loud mouth greeks always claiming to have invented Democracy)?

Serbia EU talks need to be not rushed untill they recognize the obvious in Kosova.

Greece has verified how much they DON'T deserve any more financial bailouts.

Continue to embarass yourself cause we all know you and your serb fiends have no shame.

it is advisable to choose your words with more care than this gentleman did. It's possible of course that he was joking but if so it was very bad taste.

It's also in bad taste to put Greece through what they are going through too.
The elites will have to stop being dictators of the world and start listening to people or there will be a lot more retaliation from others too.

It's one thing to be upset about the way the EU has treated Greece, quite another to make light of the possibility of sending IS sympathisers to Germany and other EU countries.
