Who is paying for this Kosovo army? Once you investigate you will find out the answer is no one unless the EU wants to print a little more each year to cover that cost, LOL. I doubt it. Plus UN1244 does not allow that to happen. Its just Albanian politicians trying to distract the locals from the poor living conditions.

Actually, the serbian army/boot has to stay away about 5 miles from Kosova border , let alone step in a foot in Kosova.
(the truth, 9 March 2015 18:36)

Why, what are you afraid of? The dribble that comes from the albo's mouths, its as if they've conquered and won Kosovo. You have nothing to fear but fear itself!
(ivan, 10 March 2015 12:12)
So do you dispute what he says???? Talk about your dribble, I see a full drool flowing!

The Serbian army kills children. Then hides their bodies under multistorey buildings in Serbia. But you're a Serb so there's a likelyhood that you are OK with the Serb army killing children.

Serb terrorists have never abided by UNSC 1244. Fully agree with you there.

just to clarify

According to him, UN Security Council Resolution 1244 on Kosovo provides for "only two armed forces" in Kosovo - KFOR and the Serbian Army, the latter "with the approval of the commander of KFOR."
There he goes with the Serbian version of UNSC1244 again, how many copies of this are out there?
It says some "personnel" are allowed back in agreed numbers (less than a thousand) to do 4 very non military things. But the desire to remove all the deadly mines Milosevic placed has never been a desire of Serbs.
But Serbian army no way and after 16 years there is a better chance of Nikolic actually losing weight during a hunger strike.

Not sure what the Western access to the Caspian and Central Asia even means. But whatever, if you're happy for the West not getting access to something that the West does not even know what it is, we're happy for you being happy lol

Bob Yoder’s post was excellent and very much to the point, alas the clown called the CTC wonders why the west wants access to Caspian Sea and Central Asia. What a simpleton!!! Yep the 2015 Darwin Award on its way.

Thanks for your misguided opinion. From another US citizen, if you think that while the Serbs were murdering innocent Albanians and using violence, rape and economical oppression to cause them to flee their homes and drive them out of Kosovo, that the US and the EU should have sit quietly by just as they did in the early days of Hitler, then I am sorry but you do not deserve the freedoms and life style that so many have given their lives to secure for you. Maybe if instead of growing up and living in this protected society, you had lived in poverty where you were not even a 2nd class citizen and you saw your sister gangraped and your mother and father beaten in front of you, or maybe if you had been beaten yourself for the appalling crime of teaching children in your home because the state had closed the schools and they had no other way to learn. Just maybe you could have a clearer prospective of what the west should and should not have gotten involved.
God Bless not only America but the people throughout the world who live in oppression.

Serbia was totally abandoned in 1999 by a decimated Russia under Boris Yeltsin, who was bought by U S taxpayer funds under Clinton and Gore; but Putin today is more in a position to press the West's buttons as we see in the Ukraine and elsewhere;
(Bob Yoder, 9 March 2015 22:51)

You confused Putin with Boris. Boris supported Serbia with actions and sent the Russian soldiers to Kosovo in 1999 and faced NATO with actions. Putin in power withdrew the Russian soldiers from Kosovo in 2003 and only supported Serbia with words in 2008. As far as actions, in 2014 Putin reduced the gas supply to Serbia over a 200 million dollar bill (which are peanuts for Russia). Putin not just abandoned; he worked against Serbia.

As for Ukraine, not sure what West buttons Putin is pressing. He is just showing he lacks support from most of the world (China included) and is showing that Slavic brotherhood means nothing. Not sure what the West is loosing with Russia wasting its money and blood in Ukraine! As if Russia is punishing the West by killing Slavs in Ukraine!
----------

and with a modest effort may be in a position to deny Western access to the Caspian and Central Asia (as he is now doing in Ukraine).

Perhaps Serbia should disband its own military and interior ministry troops, as well as its criminal paramilitaries, then Kosova may consider modifying its plans of forming a military. Until then, Serbia should mind its own business. Thus far, Serbia's military track record has proven to be untrustworthy.

Kosovo won't have an army only if Serbia doesn't have one. I bet Bosnia and Croatia agree with that. Maybe other neighbors of Serbia would have agreed too.

Having followed events regarding the misguided, outrageous, and thoroughly disgusting intrusion of the West into the former Yugoslavia over the past 25 years with a growing sense of alarm bordering on horror;
I can sympathize with "ivan", but much more appreciate and underscore the importance of Marko Djuric's statement. In any potential confrontation in the so-called civilized West, it is of primal importance to have the law on one's own side; and I believe Djuric does. Unquestionably, Serbia is within its legal rights to confront EULEX and KFOR, but by itself has been denied the means to do so even while being subjected to a government that has been virtually a puppet of the West.

While many in the West, to be sure, would like to do unto Putin as was done to Yanukovic in Ukraine (in which conflict the actions of Victoria Nudelmann and the U S ambassador ought to have gotten the entire U S delegation thrown out bodily); what is clear is that the West cannot walk over the Slavic world in quite the same way it did then, and I as a U S citizen am glad of it.
