@Navi,
Or just another step forward to Great Albania?
Pretending to have something that actually was yours is an illusion. Further, to lie yourself that you will ever get something that is not yours is a blind illusion.

Welcome to Balkans. Albanians, Dalmatians, Hellenes will always welcome guests of late 7th century (After Christ) to Balkan Peninsula.

EU can ask Serbia to recognize Kosovo but Serbia does not have to. There are EU members that don't recognize Kosovo and there are many countries around the world that do not either. The puppet government in Kosovo can call themselves a republic but they rely on others to finance them. This is not independance. They are not in the EU, yet they use Euros as their official currency. They have nothing, all their income comes from letting US, Germany take all of kosovo's metals and get very little for it. Anybody that believes Kosovo is a legal, independent country is a blind uneducated soul.

How is this different from Serbia? Hellooo, Serbia survives on aid from Germany and the EU. Oh, but how could I forget your valuable dinar.

(Was that amnesty or amnesia?, 10 March 2015 05:18)You are confusing visa liberalization with being able to just walk across the border freely.

---

Serbia has not joined the EU yet, but based on press reports appears to be in advanced discussions and negotiations. One aspect of EU membership will include borders. There are certain EU member states whose territories are not included in the Schengen area and include: French territories of French Guyana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion, Mayotte, Saint Barthélemy and Saint Martin. Similarly, the EU's intent is to erect permanent borders around the territory of KiM.

That's all it did.
To explain what that decision meant.
ICJ did not rule Kosovo's INDEPENDENCE legal, but Kosovo's DECLARATION of independence legal with lengthy explanation that anyone has a right to declare whatever it wants...
Now, I declare myself to be ruler of Kosovo...Is my declaration legal? Sure. It does not break any laws...I'm free to declare whatever I want!
(Sreten, 9 March 2015 23:39)

Someone with a name that rhymes with Geremic was too afraid to ask that other question. If you still have doubt's maybe Serbia should go back to ICJ and ask the right question this time. You know, to clarify things.

Was that amnesty or amnesia?

There is a deep problem with Tahiri's comprehension and logic. Notably, EU members do not maintain borders. Tahiri should know that the EU demand the erection of permanent borders around KiM. Rather than accession, permanent borders are more consistent with isolation and segregation.

I took a very long nap today, did Serbia and Kosovo become part of the EU while I was lying down. The EU still maintains a border with Serbia, you are confusing visa liberalization with being able to just walk across the border freely. You only do that while slipping a few bucks to the border crossing guards as apparently immigrants from all over the world have learned. But I expect that hole to be closed.

It can only be official until Serbia holds a vote where the people vote to Amend the constitution so it says Kosovo is an independent nation or a new constitution without Kosovo is passed. Both would pass but it still has to happen!

"... sovereignty over property and assets belongs to the state of Kosovo because, I stress, the International Court of Justice upheld the legality of the declaration of independence in 2010," Tahiri said.

Serbia never had raised issues about properties belonging to the state of Kosovo, for example the magnificent Clinton Statue in Pristina. The problem is that Kosovo claims property belonging to Serbian companies, like Telekom Serbia, or that coal mine, not to mention all the property ethnic Albanians stole or usurp that belong to Serbian private persons.

I don't know where the idea comes from that everything that is located on a territory of a state belongs to that state - must be some leftovers of communist times.

Serbia has better things to do than engage in such a bogus discussion.Kosovo is already independent minus sovereignty and that is more than they can handle.EU must realize Kosovo Albanians are not capable to handle fully independent statehood with full responsibility to live in peace there with other people.EU is making big mistakes left and right these days. I really wonder if the good people at Danas were able to keep a straight face while interviewing her.

1. Serbia's recognition of Kosovo is a non-issue. If and when the time comes for Serbia's EU membership to be contingent on recognizing Kosovo, it will have happened only after a series of concessions have already been given to Belgrade that either add to or deepen the impact of concessions already given.

2. Which directly feeds into those Serb municipalities she's convinced won't have any power but have been prevented from being formed by officials in Pristina largely out of fear they'll just lead to autonomy. Whether or not they do has nothing to do with Pristina since they've never controlled the north, so accusations of "parallel institutions" are, like demands for recognition, empty rhetoric.

3. Last I checked, Albanians in Presevo aren't subject to systematic harassment and risk losing their property to looting or mysterious fires.

4. Someone please get her a transcript of the ICJ ruling, which did not legalize Kosovo's sovereignty, but only said its declaration wasn't illegal.

A shame B92 didn't provide on the English side her fanciful opinions of "unfounded accusations against our [KLA] freedom fighters" struggling to defend against "Serbian genocidal aggression" when asked about the KLA war crimes court. For someone who blames Serbia for spinning stories for "internal political marketing" in the same interview, she's quite the storyteller herself :)
