Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has said that the investigation in connection with setting fire to the embassies in Belgrade in 2008 has been completed.
I was in Kosovo during that time and remember watching the events on the news. International correspondents covering the event spoke of the size of the crowd being about 50,000 and they switched to a Serbian correspondent on the ground and they were giving their version of what was happening as 2 million were on the streets, when switching back to the international correspondents she said apparently there is a huge difference in the perceived numbers.
The people on the street were probably paid, any prosecutions should happen at the state level as police were intentionally pulled back from the area. Note the embassies were all evacuated prior to the riot and there is very little doubt that the whole thing was orchestrated by Kostunica himself. Tadic left the country on "other business" which seemed odd with such a big event planned, but it was rumored he knew what Kostunica had planned and wanted no part.
I think the appropriate Serbian term now is "savages"!
