the funny thing is that in Croatia nobody gives a crap about Serbia. Serbians are obsessed with Croatia because they need an outlet of hatred. Croatia has moved on and has become a beloved tourist destination for citizens from around the world. one of the comments about vatican and Germany is so idiotic it's comedy. if anyone really believes that...you have my condolences. and frankly Serbians start looking at yourself and what you can do to improve yourself, your lives and your country. everything else is just a waste of time. Belgrade exploited the rest of YU for long enough, now it needs to learn how to make it on your own....time to move on people. stop hating, start working.

Gulliame,

You've either been confused about some things always or Serbia has disorientated you.

Healthy societies are need constant criticism. It's not unpatriotic nor does it weaken society, rather the opposite.

One has to wonder what motives the Croatian state had in joining the EU. It would appear on the face of it that they were just looking for a new platform on which to continue their anti-Serbian xenophobia and baseless rhetoric

Its funny how both Serbian and Croatian hardliners have this narcissistic delusion that everything the other does is about/because of them.

Croats are fundamentally do not tolerate anyone and they have been bred by the Vatican for the purpose of advancing Catholicism very much like the Ukrainian Catholics. These two groups were designed as the shock troops for the Vatican.
Croats cannot help themselves and these amendments are a good example. The vast majority of EU members see Croats as extreme right wingers that should never have been brought into the EU except Germany was adamant that Zagreb had to join. Having done that Berlin now cannot open a can of beans in Croatia without being tagged Nazis.
Up to 2008, Croatia was bankrolled by Brussels whereas today Zagreb has to close all subsidised industry. In 2006, Zagreb had two soup kitchens today its 6 and that number will grow to 10 (Croatian NGOs statement) by the end of 2015. There is only one road and that’s down so the hatred will only increase. They will blame everything on the Serbs despite that their beloved HDZ stole anything that was not nailed down.
Franjo Tudjman screwed them royally. He was instrumental in the Bleiberg executions after WW2 as Tito’s best pupil, and he then stole millions as President.

It would appear on the face of it that they were just looking for a new platform on which to continue their anti-Serbian xenophobia and baseless rhetoric. They need to move on and perhaps consider moving more towards European norms such as tolerance and equality which they have singularly failed to show towards their Serbian population for over a century. Their shameless use of the word genocide is particularly breathtaking and lack of movement on the repatriation of those unfortunate people they evicted from their centuries old homelands in the Krajina during the secessionist war of the 90's is puzzling but not unexpected. What surprises the most is that they were allowed to join in the first place, but that has more to do with Western geo-political ambition than any great desire to welcome them into the fold. How things evolve will be interesting to see and maybe my cynicism will prove to be misplaced but I have my doubts about that.

This is hilarious. It seems that Serbia is playing the 'political' game better than the Croats...and with Croatia's European partners. As Croatia moves further to the right with the election of Kolinda of the HDZ, they further isolate themselves from Europe. And as Serbia's current ruling elite does everything to appease Europe this will cause further isolation of Croatia. Serbia is beating Croatia at its own game. Too funny.

bam, bam, care to comment??

Maybe this should finally get through to the likes of Lenard that Croatia cannot stop Serbia's EU membership and they should just stop the threats. Croatia does not make any rules or demands. Croatia is simply a colony now which has to obey.
I wish Croatia could block Serbia's entry because it would be saving Serbia from the same fate.
Maybe it's time for Serbs to wake up and see how it really works.
