" how you expect others to treat you with kindness and respect when you yourself only offer contempt and vile for them."

Brother this is where you as an individual have fallen. You view all Serbs as one person. Not a person in the human sense but in the sense of one entity. anything evil that is done to that person is justice to you. You say you don't diminish this crime, but you call it a minor offense and reason the grave markers are not totally destroyed, they were just knocked over.

I want you to think about something. You are not responsible for knocking those grave stones over because you didn't do it. I am not responsible for the evil things that happened to the people you love, because I didn't do them. If you and I support evil things, we let evil into our hearts. I do not support the evil things that happened to your loved ones. I have enough problems in my life, what would I want to hate you for? Why don't you build something for the people you love instead of building hate in your soul and be free of the things you don't like?

Try allowing them to come back and see what happens.
(Peggy, 21 February 2015 11:24)

Well, it's not a matter of allowing them; they don't want to go to Kosovo like you would not trade your comfortable living in Australia for Serbia or Kosovo.
===========================
Isn't it time you stopped trying to sound clever when clearly it's doing the opposite?
Kosovo was never my home.
We are not talking about people whose home was never Kosovo but people whose home is Kosovo but cannot return there. Do you have a problem with comprehension?
If people could go back and live safely they would look after their homes and cemeteries.

We only offer contempt when contempt is well deserved.
Why don't you read comments from your brethren on here before you condemn us. We don't go on your site and call you names and spew venom but your brethren come here all the time doing that.
If what you see on this site disturbs you so much I am sure you will be much happier on an Albanian site where you will be seen as the "angels" that you are.

The individuals who do this sort of thing are not normal, happy, well adjusted, high functioning individuals. It is better for us as Christians to condemn the crime, but pity the criminals. Unfortunately it is hard for me to pity the criminals, and that is something I will have to work on.
The commentators that try to diminish or make light of the crime are probably not much different than the criminals they defend. I urge them to consider what hate is doing to them.
(marKo, 21 February 2015 01:05)
It is not that anyone wants to diminish of make light of the crimes but to keep Serbs from elevating the crimes to a level far greater than the crimes really are. Yes vandalizing graveyards are a crime in most countries and just like those countries the people should be caught and punished. But in reality what would a person in the UK France Spain US or even Russia receive as punishment for vandalizing a cemetery? A few days or maybe months in jail? Serbs want the world to see them as victims and cry out "savages" to crimes that barely make news in other countries.
While you are "working on the ability to pity the criminals" Read some of the many many hate filled comments from your Serbian brothers and then ask yourself how you expect others to treat you with kindness and respect when you yourself only offer contempt and vile for them.

Let’s see what our prime minister said in 1913 about those Albanians, some things never change. No wonder Milosevic has so many admirers and destroyed our nation.

“The Arnaut-type is meager and small, and there is something gypsylike, Phoenician to it. [They also remind one of] primeval men who sleep in trees holding on with their tails. In the later centuries, when men did not need their tails anymore, it wasted away, so that there is only a trace of it left in the little coccyx of contemporary people. Only among the Albanians, it seems, men with tails still existed in the nineteenth century (Georgevitch 1913: 4, author’s translations from the German).”

Actually, I have visited many abandoned cemetaries in the US and have found that there is always signs of vandalism present, the same for houses that have not been lived in for years, or churches that have been boarded up for years. I am sure it happens in every country in the world if things are neglected by their owners. They are not typically considered hate crimes. But knowing the hatred level in Kosovo and Serbia I am sure it is worse. As crimes of Serbs on Albanian property and persons are not routinely published in Serbian press, do you really think that is because it does not happen???
Vandalism is a horrible crime especially if it is your own loved one. But is it really more of an issue in Kosovo, I doubt it.
By the way my parents graves are well maintained and fresh flowers placed each holiday as others in the cemetery and there has never been any vandalism to these graves in 20+ years. But there was never a reason for someone to hate my parents either so I cannot say if that is a factor or not. But most kept graveyards see very little vandalism, and most abandoned see some. General rule no matter where you live.
So no I am not embarrassed.

Doesn't leave much to do for entertainment other than spray painting over ancient churches & monasteries, desecrating graves, assaulting 75 year old seniors or 16 year old girls...only when the odds are no less than 8 to 1. Those are what we call the kosovar odds, never 1 on 1.

Exactly. Serbs are macho; Albanians are cowards. So Kosovo goes to the Albanians and Serbs... well, let's see... perhaps a medal for being macho.

Something wrong in the picture.

"The diocese said that the photographs taken by its priests show that the tombstones were completely destroyed."
Hmmm in the picture I see one tombstone that has fallen or turned on its side but all the other fixtures look perfectly in tack, plus in the background of the one is at least seven that are standing and look untouched.
I don't think priests get stars in their crown in heaven for spreading falsehoods on earth

Loving the comments of our fellow Serbian neighbors.

It reminds me so much of the 2nd grade fights of little girls.
(Loda, 20 February 2015 18:19)

Loving even more the predictable comments from the idiotic Albanian trolls. Reminds me so much of how primitive they've always been. Committing crimes, vandalizing everything they can't steal and then getting angry when called out on it and blaming Serbs for their problems.

But hey, if that's all you can do, it's no wonder everyone in Europe is kicking you around.

You must be in the Kosova* scrap metal buying business if this news makes you happy. If not, you're one sick in the head individual that I would like to cure before you leave on the next bus for Germany. I would like to make sure that your kind don't harvest any more human organs, kill any more American airmen in Germany or try to deliver pizza to our soldiers at Fort Dix, NJ., or join ISIS like the hundreds of your Albanians already did.
P.S. What other kind of news makes you happy?

No, two wrongs don't make a right but I was asking that question for a reason. Someone was excusing this dispicable act with people having to rob graves in order to survice and yet nobody seems to want to rob Albanian graves. So the questions stannds without me implying that Albanian graves should be robbed as well to balance it.
But then, you always jump in without thinking.

Grave-robbing - attack the dead who can't defend themselves.

Those of you who try to justify this barbaric behavior - robbing the dead and desecration of cemeteries - you are just as sick and perverted as the people who abused these human corpses and intentionally damage their resting place.

Questioner

pre 9 godina

Is this newsworthy? Happens about every month in the independent dream state of Kosovo, with the tendency to get lower, because every cemetary will destroyed soon. Desecrating graveyards must be a ritual, like the annual stoning of buses?

P.S: What are 'base motives' when destroying graves?

Peggy

Absolutely right look at all the weeds and how unkept the cemetery is. If the families of the deceased have no more respect for the graves of their loved ones than this, how can they expect someone else to?

Maybe if they were allowed to come back to their homes (if they still have homes there) they would look after the cemeteries.
Try allowing them to come back and see what happens.

Kosovo was never my home.
We are not talking about people whose home was never Kosovo but people whose home is Kosovo but cannot return there. Do you have a problem with comprehension?
If people could go back and live safely they would look after their homes and cemeteries.

Who is that sane person who would want to go and live in a place like Kosovo that has nothing at all – no energy, water or minerals. Unless of course you give benefits to those people who choose to go and live in Kosovo.
