The US are desperate to crush Russia and Putin will be defending Russia with everything he's got. You see it coming. This is scary.

The US has no intention to crush Russia, but yeah, you're right... It is scary when somebody like Putin will be defending Russia against imaginary enemies

“I hope I am wrong but I think this will fail because of Debaltsevo. … Of course the Russians may level the town before the start of the ceasefire …. Meanwhile Poreshenko will continue to try to beg/buy weapons abroad “

Congratulations ! You proved to be smarter than I used to think. And though some of your statements remain propagandistic ducks I gave you my like. Mostly because of Debaltsevo. I am much more pessimistic about the new Minsk package because greater part of the issues will be hard to implement. Sure we know little about the details but it was a new compromise before the next war on the 500 km long frontline. The first test will be next week when Pederashenko will need to withdraw his troops from Debaltsevo. At least he seemed to believe that he can take his troops from the circle alive. Many of them are NATO states citizens.

You have one side info so you have no idea of how the sides behave last two days. Russians are sustaining from firing at the towns where their families live while the Nazi made the shelling even more intensive. They kill average 10-15 and injure 20-30 per day. Unlike you (“our son-of-a- bitch with no questions asked”) I do care about it. Nothing can stop us but a peace treaty – remember it ! No arms supplies or IMF credits can save the regime and everybody is aware of it. Kiev still has twice more arms but they have no infantry to fight for them as 90% of the draftees run to mother Russia.

I hope I am wrong but I think this will fail because of Debaltsevo. This town is full of Ukrainian soldiers but is surrounded by rebels/russians.
The Ukrainians think they should stay because they are holding the town and the cease fire calls for freezing current lines.
The Russian side think that the Ukrainians should leave because the Ukranians are trapped behind enemy lines.
Of course the Russians may level the town before the start of the ceasefire.
Meanwhile Poreshenko will continue to try to beg/buy weapons abroad and Putin will continue to send in tanks and heavy vehicles.

German Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier was also cautious

"The agreement is not a great breakthrough" he said

Listening of what each participant at the end of the talks had to say on what was agreed one gets a very distorted picture. For example, Poroshenko refused to confirm Putin's claim that Kiev had agreed to end its economic blockade of the Donbass region and he also insisted the accord did not grant autonomy to the East Ukrainian areas. Now Poroshenko has lied many times before-He's been trained by the americans on freedom of thoughtHe says this will help stop the violence and then he asks the EU for more money to buy weapons.Since elected Not one reform has been done in Ukraine. Monsanto is waiting for their OGM, Biden for its shale gas. The civilians is the East are dying, have no house, no food. They hide in the basement, Poroshenko might rejoy.

With regard to Merkel it took her along time to see sense and understand that it is not in Europe's interest to pursue the US led anti-Russian agenda. However, the EU is deep in the s..t both politically and militarily. The US are desperate to crush Russia and Putin will be defending Russia with everything he's got. You see it coming. This is scary.
