1.8 million would be gone.
Which reinforces what I said about Serb propaganda!
(Irony, 9 February 2015 21:42)

There was only about 1.6 million people in total in Kosovo-Metohija to begin with. About 1.4 million of that were Albanians and today after mass migration its anywhere from 1.2-1.3 mil and receding as we speak.

"2 million Albanians" was ALWAYS a myth peddled by Western mainstream media when in reality, there have never been 2 million people in Kosovo-Metohija at one given time, ever.

From Irony: "I will tell you the truth, don't have a clue as to what PR firms were hired, by whom, and what they did or did not create or say. Nor do I care enough to research it."

Exactly my point. You along with many others who are too lazy to research such issues have developed opinions based on limited information. Then you get on the internet and spew your uneducated comments based on sensationalized reports. I tried to make it easy for you. I gave you the name of a book written by an award-winning journalist. Yet you choose to ignore it. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

How many Serbs have you talked to? Be honest now...as hard as that may be for you.

Judging from your writing, the only thing flickering are the couple brain cells you have left.

P.S. In the time it took for me to write this post, another 250 Albanians have left Kosovo. Since you're so good at math, can you tell me at this rate, how long will it take before all Albanians are gone from Kosovo? LOL
(njegos, 9 February 2015 17:23
Now that would depend on many factors.
1 Did you write the post yourself or did someone have to write it for you?
2. Did you use the computer translator or a book?
3. Did you have to take a bathroom break to get more substance to write?

But assuming that it took you 2 minutes to write the post, pity if longer, then that would mean that they are currently leaving at the rate of 7500 an hour or 180,000 a day, and at the end of 10 days all 1.8 million would be gone.
Which reinforces what I said about Serb propaganda!

Irony at the max.

Irony - I'll make this real simple for you. Please answer: Why did the Kosovo Albanians hire Ruder Finn (a US PR firm)?

Here's a hint: The Croats hired them as well as the Bosnian Muslims. John Harff of Ruder Finn openly stated that their greatest achievement was to get the Jews on their side and they did this by equating the Serbs to Nazis.

Now, you brought up the concept of 'Serb propaganda' which is laughable. But you continue to run away from the question of why Croats, Muslims and Kosovo Albanians hired US PR firms to 'create' an image of the Serbs? If you wish to only answer for the Kosovo Albanians, please do so. Can't wait to hear what you come up with.

Now quit playing with your calculator and answer my question.

P.S. In the time it took for me to write this post, another 250 Albanians have left Kosovo. Since you're so good at math, can you tell me at this rate, how long will it take before all Albanians are gone from Kosovo? LOL

But once a ridiculous claim like 50K rapes is reported in the western press, the damage is done.
(njegos, 8 February 2015 22:03)

A lesson well learned and used by the Serb propagandist. Like the organ harvesting myths. Serbia focused on shocking the world with news that hundreds and thousands of Serbs were kidnapped by KLA and the organs removed and sold.
After 4 investigations now it comes to light that there is no evidence to support the claims, but even if some comes to surface that the numbers would be less than 10.
But the damage is done. And still yet Serbs still refer to the court to be set up as one on organ harvesting, although there is not anticipated to be a single indictment nor trial concerning the subject.

P.S: Btw, for example Poland is on a good track. Many Poles who went to the UK some years ago were returning because they could find a decent job in their home land.
(Comm. Parrisson, 6 February 2015 09:33)
Try talking to a Pole about that statement. The Poles that went to the UK are still there. I worked with a Polish person who went to home in July 2014 for a holiday and she said very little had changed in close to a decade since she left and the people say the worst part is taking on the Euro where overnight all prices were in the new currency, but they had to live on “Polish” wages meaning prices were all high while wages were low.
This person is by profession an Actuary but she specialises in forensic accountancy and she said that all this talk of Poland’s success is a myth spread by EU propagandists.

No its not a mecca for employment yet, but its building up to one as industry is certainly opening up there, but not in Kosovo. I watched today on Croatian TV the people caught trying to enter Hungary illegally and one was asked why? His response was “There is no work in Kosovo and I have a wife and two children”. So I can say that even 300 Euros a month would be better than nothing, but Serbia sends them all back.
Serbia is in a unique position, while it does not recognise any break away under the current arrangements they can send all them back to Kosovo.

From Irony: "You say it was reported that 50,000 muslim women were raped by Serbian soldiers. (Don't know which report you cite)"

This was reported by the Bosnian Gov't. and reported throughout the western press. You conveniently sidestepped my question of why the Croats & Muslims spent millions on US PR firms? Please answer. You accuse the Serbs of propaganda, yet I even gave you an entire book that was written on how propaganda was successfully used against the Serbs written by an award-winning NY Times journalist.

Two months after the Bosnian Govt's. report, Mademoiselle magazine reported between 20K - 100K Muslim women were raped by Serbs. This means that between 100 - 500 rapes were committed daily during the first 7 months of the war by Serbs.

While I'm sure that you will find this mathematically possible, it is utterly absurd. You have proven that you can add, subtract and divide, but are woefully lacking in the common sense department.

A European Parliament resolution cited rapes committed by all 3 sides stating the evidence up till then does not single out Serbs as the sole perpetrators, nor Muslim women as the sole victims.

But once a ridiculous claim like 50K rapes is reported in the western press, the damage is done. The burden of proof is not required for PR firms - their job is to create an image. They executed that to perfection, shaping opinions of gullible westerns like yourself.

Time for you to put the calculator down Einstein.

The solution is straight forward. Don't bring Albanians to Germany, bring Germany to the Albanians, i.e. Kosovaaaa* should become a defacto Lander/colony of Germany. That way Germany still gets to pay for its war crimes but doesn't have to live next to the riff-raff.

(njegos, 7 February 2015 02:13)
This is where not only your credibility is in the toilet but your ignorance is shining radiantly.
You say it was reported that 50,000 muslim women were raped by Serbian soldiers. (Don't know which report you cite) But then you defend it as impossible as they would have had to each rape 50 a day.
Math is not your prime subject is it? Take 50,000 divide by one day would be 1000 rapes at your number of 50 each. Then spread that over a 90 day period or 3 months, which would be an acceptable number in the term early in the war. That would mean there were only 11.1 Serbian soldiers in Kosovo at the time.
But if you had 25,000 Serb forces and paramilitary in Kosovo that would average 2 rapes per soldier over a 90 day period, a very reasonable number. Since it is not believable that every soldier participated in this horror, cutting it to a third would be 6 rapes per soldier. The shame though is most of these rapes were actually gang rapes committed by more than one soldier, but only reported as a single case of rape.
Maybe you should focus a little more time on education and not so much on the useless goal of propaganda.
Even your hero Dick Marty said in his report
"In the Kosovo conflict, the ethnic Albanian population suffered horrendous violence as the result of an insane ethnic cleansing policy on the part of the dictator then in power in Belgrade. None of these historical events could be cast in doubt today."

From Irony: "The reason Serbia has never been able to garner any sympathy from the war(besides the fact that they were the agressors and the campaign was simply to stop the brutality) is they(you) use such exaggerated numbers that when the truth is out, your whole claims are considered lies"

Irony, here is where you lose all credibility. I find it rather ironic (no pun intended) that you accuse the Serbs of using inflated numbers. I'm sure you remember the claims that Serb soldiers raped 50,000 Muslim women early in the war. At the time that was printed, based on the number of Serb soldiers fighting at that time, each one of them would have had to rape 50 women each day. When would they have had time to commit all the other atrocities they were accused of?

And remember the Markal Marketplace bombing? International forensic experts determined that it was impossible for the bombs to have come from Serb positions.

I could go on and on. But explain to me why the Croats and Muslims spent millions on US PR firms like Hill & Knowlton to create an image of the Serbs in the western press. Jon Harff of Hill & Knowlton stated that their job was to create an image that depicted the Serbs as Nazis.

And you talk about the Serbs distorting the truth. Go do some homework before you come back next time. I'll make it easy for you. Pick up a copy of Media Cleansing written by New York Times award winning author, Peter Brock. Get educated.

njeios,
"Information drawn from the ninety incident reports allows a general picture to be drawn of the civilian deaths by the time, place, and circumstances in which they occurred. The deaths resulted from attacks on a range of targets, under different circumstances, and from a variety of munitions. Fifty-five of the incidents occurred in Serbia (including five in Vojvodina), three in Montenegro, and thirty-two in Kosovo. But between 279 and 318 of the dead-between 56 and 60 percent of the total number of deaths-were in Kosovo. In Serbia, 201 civilians were killed (five in Vojvodina) and eight died in Montenegro."
The numbers you mention are from grossly embellished Serbian sources immediately after the bombing trying to portray the situation different from reality.
The quote I gave you comes directly from a Human Rights Watch report, which according to you claims the NATO bombing was a war crime so it should have major legitimacy for you. Of course if they did make the claim that was an opinion, the numbers they mention are based on investigations and are facts.

The reason Serbia has never been able to garner any sympathy from the war(besides the fact that they were the agressors and the campaign was simply to stop the brutality) is they(you) use such exaggerated numbers that when the truth is out, your whole claims are considered lies.

Careful, most of the posters on here fit that bill, Serbs and Albanians.
The problem is Albanians want a better life for the people at home, Serbs want the people left in Serbia to live a life that they themselves refuse to ever have. Daily people who live in the west(none of which live in Russia or China for obvious reasons) think that Serbs in Serbia should embrace those 2 countries eventhough they themselves would never consider moving their families there.
Which is what makes these forums so laughable. You have people like Peggy and sj who get on here daily and speak of the horrible west and how wonderful Russia and China are but yet where do they continue to live? About 3 years ago, I watched how a bus load of Albanians from Kosovo were returned after they attempted to find employment in the fiat factory at Kragujevac.
So it’s amusing that this should occur when some Albanians have been crying that that Serbs have persecuted them and yet these same people are happy to work beside their “oppressors”. Isn’t that rather strange?

Approximately 30,000 Serbs leave Serbia each year to gain asylum in the Schengen zone of EU only to be returned to Serbia after a few months. These are clearly desperate families that have no future in Serbia and do this to receive handouts that they would never get in Serbia. Many of these families do this repeatedly knowing they will be returned, but find it more profitable than remaining in Serbia. Last year we had a few families from Nis stay in our town. Apparently, Nis is a small city in the south of Serbia which is particularly hard hit. They told us there are parts of Nis that are abandoned with no remaining inhabitants. Very sad indeed!

The Albanians know that the people running the gov't. there are criminals and there is no hope for a viable future. So they're leaving in large numbers.

Funny thing is, no other country wants them. As the article points out, Austria has already tightened their immigration policies. The European countries know that accepting Albanians in large numbers introduces a crime problem in their countries.

Looks to me like the Albanians are destined to be the nomads of Europe. I'm sure the US feels pretty good about the millions they've spent and continue to spend on keeping Kosovo on life-support. Someone tell the last one out to turn off the lights!

No, they go there to file asylum and get the support money for some month. They know well that these procedures take some month. They don't have a chance to stay there legally. About 99% of the asylum requests are refused. Which is fine, because asylum is meant not for people who want to escape poverty or who flee from a corrupt and criminal government (in case of Kosovo a self chosen one), as long as they are not harassed for political, ethnic or religious reasons

This arguement that Chetniks sided with the Nazis is a common tactic used by Ustasha and Titoist followers to discredit the Chetniks.

Your flimsy arguemnt falls apart when we look at the facts:
- Chetniks were the 1st resistance movement formed to fight the Nazis
- Hitler put a $100K bounty on Mihailovich's head
- Hitler ordered 100 Serbs killed for every German killed and 50 Serbs killed for every German wounded as a result of Chetnik incursions
- Chetniks rescued over 500 US downed airmen
- Hitler bombed Belgrade unmercilessly

Moderate Serb, please try and tell some of the surviving US airmen who were rescued by the Chetniks or their families that Mihailovich and his Chetniks were Nazi collaborators. Report back plaese after you've had a few of those conversations. Until then, you're just background noise.

First of all it’s not about criticising people who migrate to other countries looking for a better life, but it’s about this constant mantra that started in 1999 of how Albanians in Kosovo would create a better life there since they had it so tough under Belgrade. They now have to move elsewhere because there is no work there and they can’t go to Serbia looking for work (how ironic that Albanians that have gone to Serbia proper looking for work have no problems working amongst their so called oppressors, eh?) and the ones that do look for a job there are all sent back to Kosovo, and the west has not helped them either and yes that’s also ironic.

Wow now this is true IRONY, Serbia which was able to spend billions building up Kosovo could have their infrastructure completely destroyed by bombs over 78 days that hit a few mainly military targets and killed around 200 people. Most countries are at war for years before they suffer that much damage.
According to human rights watch, the majority of the estimated 450-500 civilian casualties of the bombing campaign were Albanians in Kosovo and the buildings hit are well documented.

Want to recant your story, of how such a low level conflict was able to destroy a country that was able to pour billions into Kosovo. Maybe one or both are actually Serbian lies, you think?

Irony

Looks to me like the Albanians are destined to be the nomads of Europe. I'm sure the US feels pretty good about the millions they've spent and continue to spend on keeping Kosovo on life-support. Someone tell the last one out to turn off the lights!

They (Albanians) now have to move elsewhere because there is no work there and they can’t go to Serbia looking for work (how ironic that Albanians that have gone to Serbia proper looking for work have no problems working amongst their so called oppressors, eh?) and the ones that do look for a job there are all sent back to Kosovo.
(sj, 5 February 2015 13:15)

What kind of contradictory nonsense is this? You can't have it both ways. At first you state that Albanians can’t go to Serbia looking for work. Then you go on to say Albanians that have gone to Serbia proper looking for work have no problems working amongst their so called oppressors. Finally, you state: and the ones that do look for a job there are all sent back to Kosovo. (Even though, according to you: Albanians have no problems working amongst their so called oppressors.) Albanians from Kosova have been illegally looking for work in Serbia proper for a while now, especially since foreign manufacturing has started to open industry there.
Hope that clears up any misunderstandings.

Wrong. Politics do matter. When Serbia is bombed for 78 days straight, including the killing of many, many civilians, the targeting of non-military buildings and ruining the infrastructure that affects the majority of the civilian population, you bet politics matter.

Kosovo Albanians claimed they were being oppressed by the Serbian leadership (again politics matter). Therefore, Big Brother US came to the rescue. Now that the Albanians have their own leadership, even more are leaving than before the war. My point is the K-Albanians got what they asked for and now see that they are no better off than before.
