Russia "won't discuss criteria for lifting sanctions"

Russia will not discuss any kind of criteria that it should fulfill for western sanctions against it to be lifted, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said.

I love people like you ! Once persuaded they remain Teflonized for any other stance. In Donetsk hotels some 100 foreign journalists permanently live. They are free to travel anywhere and none of them saw a single Russian soldier. To say nothing of the western intelligence and satellites watching the region. Yet you are sure that the Russian troops should be withdrawn.

Concerning the Russian support of the separatists do you offer them to die with hunger and artillery strikes ? Russia is only to stop the war and make the sides to negotiate while the fascists and their American boss do not want such a development. Most likely they will resume the full scale war very soon. Russia can do very little as even Germany was commanded to sustain from Astana talks.

As for oil prices you are right they harm Russia more than any sanctions as oil gave 19% of the Russian GDP last year. But the prices cannot stay so low long and so the biggest traders started to buy oil. Low crude oil kills American oil companies first as the cost of the Russian crude is about USD 20 while in the rest of the world outside the Arab countries the cost is from USD 60 to USD 100 …

Crimea back with Russia following illegal annexation in 1954.
Russians in UKR regaining their rites, no turning back.
As far as those comments re Oil, the Yanks are suffering the hardest.
Arabs have dropped the price of crude oil to crush the US's attempts at extracting oil form shale, some people need an education that continually post on this site. They need to leave Serbs alone and return to their HR and Albanian sites

Eight hours after Russian said they would not discuss the price of oil suddenly fell 5% and Goldman Sachs predicted 70 Rubles/dollar. That was fast enough for a Russian cave man to understand.

Yes, no need to discuss it. The criteria is clear:
1. Russian soldiers to get out of the territory of Ukraine, including the ones being there on 'holidays' where 'territory of Ukraine' includes Crimea.
2. Stop of supporting separatist in eastern Ukraine with weapons, missiles, tanks and other military equipment.

Anyway, sanctions are not the big problem of Russia, the biggest issue is the oil price, and it won't go back to more than $100 like it was before and like it was projected when Russian state budget was calculated.
