Most "informed" commentators from abroad beleive that only B92 is an independant media outlet in Serbia. Well it ain't. It was a brain child of Georg Soros,
(sarah, 14 January 2015 22:32)

"independent media" generally means independent of government control.
It does not mean that it will not have some political/editorial agenda. In fact that is usually the whole point of setting up a newspaper.
There is plenty of small independent media in Serbia, mostly online.

Most "informed" commentators from abroad beleive that only B92 is an independant media outlet in Serbia. Well it ain't. It was a brain child of Georg Soros, an open border progressive and to the extreme liberal. In the nineties Soros used to bus Belgrade liberals, all children of communist party officials, to Budapest to teach them his view of the Serbian future. Now, when B92 is sold, who knows who is going to be a new teacher to Serbian liberals out of step with the the conservative Serbian nation.

Vucic controls the majority of the media in Serbia and occasionally drives him into a rage that there are a few that he cannot control.

A Dutch Company who are experts at this type of work was disqualified from the tender for a clerical error.
(Vucic said that no Western company wanted the job - "None from the Netherlands, none from Germany,")
A Serbian Company who have no experience won the bid. This company then hired the Dutch company to do the most of the work.
This Serbian company did not list the Dutch company as a subcontractor in its tender - this is also a reason for disqualification but was not applied here.

The main owner of the Serbian company has been charged with tax evasion in one case and is under investigation for same offence in another case - this is another reason for disqualification from tender.

This is hilarious. Vucic may very well control the media in Serbia, but the media is all pro-EU to the fullest! Why would the EU be working against Vucic when he has carried out every single measure he possible could without risking his position as PM. Are the EU really that upset that Serbia did not slap sanctions on Russia? Such a blatant act of disrespect towards an ally like that would have resulted in demonstrations on the streets. Vucic loves the EU, but obviously he loves being in power only slightly more.

Who are they going to get to replace him? The ultra left DS/Otporista's have worn out their welcome in Serbia after they ran the country into the ground after a decade in power. Vucic came in and took up their same exact policies regarding the EU. Maybe they want to give Seselj a try or something, but honestly the EU should just accept what they got. They wont get a more pro EU guy than Vucic, I think he loves the EU more than he loves Serbia, but obviously not more than he loves power!

Perhaps Mr. Vucic should look into the allegations against EPS more closely. Since he is fighting corruption in Serbia, maybe he should investigate these claims before he so quickly defends EPS. Or are only politically incorrect companies and people subject to investigation?

"This will change now that RT has started broadcasting in Serbia. ... Once Serbs get to read the truth about the world they will kick NATO out of the country and spit on the EU."
(Michael Thomas, 12 January 2015 14:21)

Funny. Connecting the start of the Russian RT propaganda station (financed by Gazprom money, if I remember right) to the words 'truth about the world'. Thanks for giving me the laugh of the day.

Great that Serbs can soon learn such 'truths' that the passengers of MH17 were already dead when in the air, learn about provenly faked radar pictures showing an Ukraine military plane and other 'information' of similar value courtesy provided by Putin's KGB.

All Serbian TV, Radio and newspapers are owned or controlled by the EU/NATO Powers. In this respect Serbia is like every other EU country, they all have a NATO-Press and no opposition is allowed. This western mind-control is powerful, but its power is waning. Increasingly people get their news from carefully selected websites and blogs and ignore the BBC, CNN etc. Newspaper sales in Britain are massively down from their levels in the 1970s and now the elite are giving newspapers away for free. I don't believe the Internet is as important in Serbia as it is in the NATO-west so I guess that RTS and B92 still have a major influence on the Serbian public. This will change now that RT has started broadcasting in Serbia. And when the Internet reaches every small town and village, then people will get hear news that is now forbidden. Once Serbs get to read the truth about the world they will kick NATO out of the country and spit on the EU.

Davenport is not an important person, he represents an important and powerful institution. He fell into the habit , shared by three generations of UK US French and German Ambassadors, while UK Ambassador of criticising Serbia in public statements in ways which would have resulted in their being asked to leave many countries in the world.Serbia has put up with this so called public diplomacy for too long.Diplomacy like growing mushrooms is best done in the dark......or at least behind closed doors.

Questioner

pre 9 godina

He then noted that he was "just the plain prime minister of a geographically small country, while Mrs. Kocijancic and Mr. Davenport are big and important officials of the EU," and that he did not think that his answer to a reporter's question during a press conference "could cause such rage of the powerful and important people. "

No need to be a sorehead! A bit childish those words and that behavior, don't you think? Suits to more to a little school boy.
