Citizens not well informed about EU accession

A majority of Serbian citizens would vote in favor of joining the EU in a referendum, although only a quarter know the current state of the accession process.

Russia has not reduced anything and the first payment has already been made. How come you comment when you know nothing about the new agreement?
(Daniel, 5 January 2015 22:52)

Yeah, sure, the new "agreement" after the big Russian "brother" reduced the gas supply to the little Serbian "brother" in the middle of the winter to show the latter what it should except if it does not "agree"!

Serbia most of the foreign aid in grants whereas Russia reduces the gas supplies to Serbia over a $200 million bill (which are peanuts to Russia)."

EU no thanks

Problem with the EU is it's easier to get in than it is to get out. They lure in the politicians with jobs and backhanders for life, then they asset-strip whatever the globalists can find of any worth and finally they get you into so much debt that you are forever beholding unto them. Serbia forget this EU lunacy and trade with the rest of the world there are far more people out there. The EU needs Serbia far more than Serbia needs the EU for obvious geographical reasons. After all that's the whole reason they broke up Yugoslavia if truth be told.

why would Serbia join the broke EU ? Greece is leaving this year.......Spain wants out and Croatia is broke to the max.....so why would Serbia want to join that?

Hmm, are citizens receiving enough information or enough propaganda?? They should ask the citizens in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania or Spain about their wonderful life in the EU.
(So sad, too bad, 2 January 2015 10:34)

The citizens of those countries have decided already that their life in the EU is wonderful enough for then to be in rather than out. Aren't you aware that Greece, Bulgaria, Romania or Spain are still EU members?!

who says Serbs want to join the broke EU? , Greece wants out this year and others to follow
(china-serbian friendship, 2 January 2015 17:45)

Yeah, yeah, sure, we hear that every year :)

Sure, even though it's a mistery that few people have understood that, even the Chinese who prefer to leave this new world of yours and emigrate to the "old one"!

Serbs are not suckers, the Serbian government would get money but the people would be worse than now....china and Russia and their friends is it, not the EU are America......
(china-serbian friendship, 2 January 2015 17:45)

Yeah, sure, Russia is a friend of Serbia with words, when it comes to actions it's the EU that provides to Serbia most of the foreign aid in grants whereas Russia reduces the gas supplies to Serbia over a $200 million bill (which are peanuts to Russia).

How can they be well informed on the topic when their President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister contradict one another.
(cry me a river, 3 January 2015 00:02)

I bet if they had a choice they would rather contradict Angela Merkmeister to the tune of this here song and keep everybody informed, including Willi Pfaff :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk0OP0PgDNw

However, 23 percent "would not like their child to live in Russia," Beta said in its report, while 70 percent would choose the EU for this scenario.

To all those idiots (Serb and Albanian), trying to convince each other "whose d..k is larger", that is your answer. As this recent survey clearly shows, we both belong to the same family EUROPE. People are looking it for the sake of their children. The past should remain in the past. The future should be take priority.

EU is having its own issues also. The two powers in EU, Germany and France are having issues also.Unemployment is a problem.
EU is not what it was.The Serbian government needs to be honest if that is possible, let people know the good, the bad and the ugly about the EU talks and then move forward.
I am sure that there are some honest politicians in Serbia, but they are removed or silenced, so that other politicians who only serve the west will succeed.

The same kind of people as Albanians who praise Kosovo for being so great, while taking the first chance to emigrate and escape from there?

All relative. Not wonderful, but surely much better with a much higher standard of living than the average Serb has nowadays.

I don't think Serbs are that stupid to expect a living like Austrians, Frenchmen or Germans after Serbia becomes an EU member - will be more like Slovenians or Slovakians, or Poles.
