Ambassador: U.S. "sent army to create this"

So the NATO destrucrtion of Serbia's infrastructure was good for Serbia and it's people ??? That's the most bizzare comment I think I've ever heard. This guy needs to see a doctor!!

the US "had to" send its army?! This is a shocking remark to me and I'm further astonished by the fact that the writer of this article made no comment about the ambassador's outrageous remark.

For Serbia and all Serbian people the last 25 years most tragic era of our history. The sacred Serbian ancient lands paid with blood over and over by our fathers taken away from us and given to evil invaders who for centuries are spilling Eastern Orthodox blood. USA, England and International Community under the direction of Germany and the Catholic Roman Empire. The USA, England and Germany in the 1990's unleashed the most horrific weapon on Serbia, the evil and ruthless demonizing hate campaign to isolate and then destroy our people and finaly our nation of Jugoslavia. It was not only bombs that took the toll but much worse damage from the words demonizing our Eastern Orthodox Slavic people. Mr. Michael Kirby and your words of evil, I hope you read my comment and understand what severe damage was done to a nation and people who have never in any way hurt the USA. The average Serbian citizen today in the worse situation of all times, economic sanctions and isolation to world markets. For centuries Serbian blood spilled by ruthless invaders and finally USA and England under the direction of Germany come in to finish the job. I can only say that in my comments I only speak for the average Serbian Eastern Orthodox Christian who make up the 99.99 per cent, what situation has the USA, England and Germany created for us? The fuse that was lit a quarter century ago by all evil invaders of Jugoslavia in the heart of the Balkans will soon detonate devistation no one will escape!

nobody cares for American lies and propaganda no more, so they are trying o sucker Serbia like they don't have tv or the internet...America is done the new world is here....china ,Russia and the rest of the brics and their friends are the new world.....America and EU are both finished....nobody needs America are the EU they need the world.......Serbia should stay close to china, russia like the rest of the world is.....

I beg to differ, nobody HAD to do anything. In fact what people HAD to do before any army was sent anywhere was to obtain a UN mandate. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to recall even that was overlooked in favour of, what some might regard as, an illegal aggression. Whilst I agree with the notion that things have to be given the opportunity to improve in the future, lets not pretend that the events of the past had no alternative solution.

Something more profound occurred with the fall of communism. Its seems that it was on a cataclysmic level where the US replaced its old diplomatic corp with outright idiots such as Michael Kirby.

I can only take the ambassador at his word when he says that the US sent its armies to the region because they wanted to create a situation that we see more and more today. So what is the situation we see today in the region? One in which all the accumulated wealth of the former constituent peoples of the former Yugoslavia has been privatized and then sold off to western multinationals at bargain basement prices. What's left are a bunch of feudal dependencies governed by kleptocracy.

What he is saying is "When you misbehaved...we had to send the army...now behave with the hope to see you in EU..." I hope the above helps.

The situation he speaks of is the one in which Serbia is not trying new wars against its neighbors or its citizens, there is no Milosevic or Seselj types in power, and even their former associates have changed course. In a few words, a more stable Serbia, which is not kicked out of the UN (as it happened in the 90s), without hyperinflation, etc etc. Unfortunaely, the Serbian were not able to change course by themselves only, it took some pushing from the US and others.

Englashman the army was sent to stop the ethnic cleansing....Wake up! If a State chooses to exercise terror towards "its own people" is risking of losing these people and the territory where they live in. Do you understand? Verstehen? Razumjesh? It is as easy as that.
