I think teachers are doing a wonderful job in difficult circumstances and I' m of the view that they should not strike but should make their case peacefully and in line with the law. However on the flip side when I saw them marching yesterday I was struck not by that but instead by the number of Mercedes cars,Porsche Cayenne jeeps and Range Rovers etc.buzzing around Belgrade seemingly aimlessly. Now it would be interesting to see how these people acquired their wealth as their lives seem to be in a parallel universe when compared to the mainstream that surrounds them. Thus it is hard to criticise the teachers when many of these "business" men/women appear to pay no taxes whatsoever and flaunt their ill-gotten gains into the faces of the real workers that they wish to share the streets with.Come on Vucic let's see some serious action on this serious level of corruption and stop burying your head in the sand whilst at the same time expecting the honest workers in society to put up with these parasites that have raped the country and then also expect them to be happy about a pay cut. Deal with this issue and then the people who hold the society together can have a decent wage.

Teachers are right. They are paid very little for one of the most important jobs in society. Kids need education, without it there is no future for them or for Serbia.
Current education is seriously underfunded in Serbia. State schools are dilapidated buildings with little or no materials for students. Teachers are stuck teaching using outdated methods and now soon without proper renumeration for their efforts.
All they need is some minister preaching them to get on with it.
It is time for a educational revolution. The sooner the better.
