Chinese companies interested in industry, spas

LOL the only thing Croatia has is a coastline that is completely owned by Germans and Austrians. Who are you kidding? The medical spas in Serbia are a great source of potential, but many of them apart from Vrnjacka Banja are badly up-kept. The state doesn't have enough money to finance them any more and if the Chinese can fix the place up and bring in tourists to spend money in Serbia, all the better.

If the Chinese can buy these places and make them good tourist spots, build a few hotels and other amenities it would be very profitable for them. They a ready made underclass of workers in Serbia to keep expenses low. That is how the resorts in the Carribean do it they pay very little in wages to the local workers and can provide great service and good profit margin. Maybe Serbia can become the Jamaica of Eastern Europe.

With over 600000 tourist added every year to the millions vacationing it is a very lucrative industry in Croatia. The Sheraton hotel chain anounced the other day it is building a 300 room hotel and one of the largest confrence centers in Croatia. Croatia makes a lot of things Fast speed trains, trams, ships, army eqipment, pharmaceuticals food stufs etc.

As you should know, the Chinese method is to bring its own workforce, which are even cheaper than the one in Serbia or Africa where lot of Chinese investment went during the last decade.

P.S: Same goes for chinese construction companies that built bridges in Serbia.
