You name the problem: He was never convicted, not even tried. Maybe he ends up like Al Capone one day, i.e. going to prison for tax evasion (and not for being a mafia boss, leader of a drug dealer clan, and for ordering murders and other crimes)
(Comm. Parrisson, 23 December 2014 14:22)

Sure, with that logic then Dacic, Vucic an Nikolic may one day go to prison for tax evasion instead of mass murders, ethnic cleansing and drug dealing. Do you see how easy this is?

OK, after I read the comments, I think some of you guys are missing the point of this article.
1) There is a (false) narrative in Serbia, according to which Albanians are to blame for the destruction of Yugoslavia. It all started in 1981, it says, after the death of Tito and the demonstrations of the Albanians of Kosovo (Comm. Parrisson, there are Albanians in Kosovo, u should know this by now).
2) Now, since the Albanians destroyed Yugoslavia, it is ironic to see Kosovo's PM feel nostalgic about the good old times.
3) I think this is what B92's editor wants to get out of this (short) article (about a much longer interview, I would guess), but since you don't live in Serbia, (s)he missed the target :). This is Serbian section material.

LOL, really B92? In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, is this really all that was discussed? Mogherini and Tito? Nothing else? It is interesting to see how filters work :).

That should come from someone whos prime minister is a known mafioso and drugdealer. What has Vucic ever been convicted of? Selfdeclared territory? The only selfdeclared territory in Serbia is Kosovo which, as you say, isnt recognized by half of the world.
(Daniel, 22 December 2014 17:53)

Wanna bet that if Serbs keep refusing to recognize Kosovo you will actually start feeling nostalgic even about Tito? LOL, you haven't even seen half of it, Thaci. You haven't even experienced half of what happens when a nation steals another country's land.
(Andreas, 20 December 2014 02:22)

Its not your country's land when your country stole it to start with. Serbia governed Kosova for less than 100 years. This was by force and this was not continuous. There have been others who have governed Kosovo for thousands of years and hundreds of years before Serbia. Serbia is just one of them. Nothing special here. It stole the land from those that owned it before. Just because your king is cousins with European kings and they gift you this land at the turn of the century at some conference held between cousins does not make it your land. This fake bitterness is just that. Acting as a sore loser over something you didn't own to start with. As a matter of fact, Turkey has much more of a legitimate claim than Serbia. Both are not natives of the region but Turkey governed it for 500 years, while Serbia for less than 9 decades with interruptions. So Serbia was gifted it, governed it for a much shorter amount than the Turks and Romans and somehow it owns it? Gtfo here. Its owned by those who live there, and we all know who they are. Now when do you want to make that bet?

Not to mention that you're threating Russia for stealing Ukraine's Crimea. Threating Russia is a sacrilege!

Why ironic? Only logical. Under Tito, citizens of Kosovo were living in a state, now they are living in a self-proclaimed, partial recognized entity with dubious legal status, governed by criminals. And with the 'problems' of law and law enforcement by KPS, it's only natural that there can be no Schengen agreement with Kosovo.
(Comm. Parrisson, 19 December 2014 11:31)

Sounds like Serbia. Half of the world does not recognize its self-declared territory and it is governed by criminals, and with the 'problems' of law and law enforcement by MUP. If Serbia, this chimera of a state can get away with it, anyone can.

Do Albanians in Kosovo need any kind of documentation at all to move between Albania and Kosovo? How did Tito feel about that back in the good old days?

When Albanians leave Kosovo to go any place besides Albania, they are not coming back, they are just benefits hunting in places like Germany. What do they need visas for?

Comm. Parrisson

According to the media in Pristina, Thaci said he had "no nostalgia for the Yugoslav communist leader Josip Broz Tito," but observed that during his regime, "Albanians moved freely and were able to travel without visas."

Some lack in history, Mr Thaci, eh? During Tito's regime, Albanians were living under Enver Hoxha and were the most isolated people with least freedom of movement in whole Europe

Maybe if he closes his eyes and tries to think real hard, he might come up with the reason for that change of condition.

Nah, forget it. He'd only blame Serbia for that despite hailing from an allegedly independent state for six years and a self-functioning entity for 15.
