Does any logical person believe that the West and Kosovo will accept any "solution" proposed by Serbia. Kosovo is alreadyand independent state with full soveriegnty over its territory (serbs are and are still getting integrated into Kosovo's institutions. Serbia needs the deal for it to move on, Kosovo doesn't need it. Kosovo already has everything it could possibly want short of a seat at the UN. Kosovo WANTS recognition from Serbia, but it DOES NOT NEED it. You are a fool if the West and Kosovo accept any deal written by Serbia, the fact that the Serbian president thinks that will even fly is quite laughable. Kosovo is already independent and there is no going back, ever lol. If serbs were smart they would work with albanians for the future and maybe get republika srpska. Serbia will compete against kosovo in rio. no objections in serbia. There would be absolutely no objection in Serbia if tomorrow all serbias leaders they were formally and officially recognizing Kosovo independence by removing Kosovo from its constitutions high only passed in 52% turnout.

Kosovo is just an excuse, the real issue for him is the foreign policy on Russia. He is a Russian tool after all. He is feeling the heat and saying: if I go down I will take Vucic with me. After Tadic came out a few days ago saying he would support Vucic, things are starting to get interesting :). The fact that these discussions are happening through the media and these divisions are shown to the public tells me they either have not found any compromise, or worse, don't speak with each other at all.

This is only my humble take on this though, we need to wait what sj has to say on this, he has internal sources in every government :).

Some of you on here believe that it doesn't matter what Serbia says/does/thinks regarding Kosovo-Metohija, but this is completely untrue. The EU conditions Serbia daily and very openly regarding Belgrade's involvement in legalizing Serbia's amputation... because only the Serbian Government could actually do something like that and not unilateral actions.

But the thing is Serbia (or any other country for that matter) is not going to be offered EU membership for the foreseeable future. The EU bureaucrats say at least another decade, and the damn EU may not be around by then. So the pressing of Serbia over this issue means Serbia's position matters. I wish Serbia's political elite understood that without a policy of sovereignty there can be no economic prosperity or respect from foreign governments.

How pathetic that we are still even having to discuss this. How much progress in the region could have already happened, without these Putin-fawning Radicals. It is impossible to take them seriously - on the other hand, in certain circumstances, they can be very dangerous indeed.

The people of Serbia have to ultimately free themselves of the devils of yesterday, and that means a real denazification of their society. To stop blaming everyone else in the world, and look at their own past actions. Otherwise Serbia remains the evil and backward actor of the Balkans.

1. The EU has put Serbia in charge of Kosovo Serbs. EU made it clear if Serbia didn't campaign for Serbs to vote on republic of Kosovo ballots and participate in recent elections it would be damaging its eu chances. That's an interesting perspective but it's detached from reality.
Here's another take. You took that 'rental property' by force and many many moons ago. Somewhere along the line you got tired of the rightful owners and decided to torture, kill, expel and whatever you thought was going to get the job done.

What you didn't count on is the rightful owners were going to fight back. They got some help from righteous parties. You lost on the field and you lost in court. You finally got kicked out.

A very simplistic way to look at it, too bad it is way off base. Serbia has not been leasing the land to the people of Kosovo. They own the land they work the land they like anywhere else in the free world they go to the polls and they decide on the government, they determine their own laws.
Now usually these matters are settled after wars, this one should have been settled before the bombing stopped. But at the time it was hoped that civility would prevail.
You have a good start on understanding the world from a 3rd grade perspective a few more years schooling and you will probably understand how the world works. Now off to bed and kiss mommy and daddy goodnight.

History has clearly shown that the European Union Cannot be trusted, and if Serbia gave Kosovo away before Serbia and Kosovo joined the European Union, then Serbia would be giving Serbia away, and possibly Serbia would be giving the Republika Srpska away.

Therefore, the Reality is that Serbia will join the European Union with its Province of Kosovo, or Serbia will not be joining the European Union.

The best hope for the Kosovo Albanians to gain Independence of South Kosovo is after Serbia and its Province of Kosovo have joined the European Union, and so there are People who think that the Kosovo Albanians should Revoke their unilateral declaration of independence.

This is because this is the Only way that Kosovo can join the European Union.

Furthermore, it is the Only way that it might be possible for South Kosovo to become Independent or to achieve more Autonomy in the Future, and possibly Republika Srpska can be exchanged for South Kosovo after Serbia and the European Union join the European Union.

There are People who think that the Serbia needs to Scrap or Amend the Brussels Agreement, because it grossly unfair and it is unjust on the Kosovo Serbs, the Kosovo Albanians, Serbia, and the rest of the Balkans, and on some European Union Countries.

But in the first part you say the Albanians have nothing to show it is theirs, first of all they have the important part they have possession. They have 108 countries that agree that what they had the right to become independent. Indeed, Kosovo declared independence in accordance with UNSCR 1244 (if that's the deed). Some people had doubts, but dear Vuk made sure that those doubts were clarified once and for all that Kosovo's independence is in accordance with UNSCR 1244.

1. Decription of the real property, including its boundaries;
2. Name of the party transferring the property (grantor);
3. Name of the party receiving the property (grantee)... (I assume that is Serbia);
4. Notarized signature of the grantor;
5. Office where this deed is recorded to complete the conveyance.

A very simplistic way to look at it, too bad it is way off base. Serbia has not been leasing the land to the people of Kosovo. They own the land they work the land they like anywhere else in the free world they go to the polls and they decide on the government, they determine their own laws.
Now usually these matters are settled after wars, this one should have been settled before the bombing stopped. But at the time it was hoped that civility would prevail.

Indeed, Kosovo declared independence in accordance with UNSCR 1244 (if that's the deed). Some people had doubts, but dear Vuk made sure that those doubts were clarified once and for all that Kosovo's independence is in accordance with UNSCR 1244.

Which version do you want us to read? The one translated only for the Serbs or the actual one? Last time I checked, the actual one, ICJ didn't have any problems with it, and I haven't seen the Serb government take it a step further and bring the question for further verification. Why? Maybe you should reread your post especially the second part you totally wipe out your argument.
But in the first part you say the Albanians have nothing to show it is theirs, first of all they have the important part they have possession. They have 108 countries that agree that what they had the right to become independent. You have no international authority that says they did not, nor do you have one that says Serbia is the rightful owner of Kosovo. You do not have a socalled rental agreement.
Then you say

Kosovo is just an excuse, the real issue for him is the foreign policy on Russia. He is a Russian tool after all. He is feeling the heat and saying: if I go down I will take Vucic with me. After Tadic came out a few days ago saying he would support Vucic, things are starting to get interesting :). The fact that these discussions are happening through the media and these divisions are shown to the public tells me they either have not found any compromise, or worse, don't speak with each other at all.

Well, the deed the Serbs say they have is the history behind them, The churches & even the name is Serbian. That looks like its actually MORE than the Albanians have, They just SAY Kosovo is theirs...nothing to show for other than words.

Here in the US, any judge would side with "evidence" or "proof"...you just can'y SAY it's yours....

There is no serbian ambassador to Kosovo, Dejan Pavicevic is a liasion officer, he is not an ambassador and he doesnt have diplomatic status. Get a dictionary and look up the word liasion officer. And last time I checked there is no border between Serbia and kosovo just an administrative line that has always existed.
