You really believe that Bulgaria had anything to do with the cancellation of South Stream? You should go immediately to the bank and have a cosignature requirement placed on all your checks, you my friend are a perfect patsy for every con man that comes around. If Russia really wanted the South Stream in todays situation and the EU wanted it, Bulgaria would be a NON-issue.
(Naivity is cute in children, 19 December 2014 18:27)

Then why is Bulgaria the ONLY EU state who has consistently blocked it? NOT Hungary, NOT Austria, NOT Croatia. 1 + 2 = 2, except in your logic. All other South Stream partners told Brussels to FO! Except Bulgaria. What is so difficult to grasp?

Serbia is small, and I did not mean to suggest it could thwart US policy on it's own. It doesn't have to , As the US continues to use the only tool it understands, a giant hammer, it will help people realize they are a toxic ally was well as a dangerous enemy. Serbia is not helpless, and it's actions will influendce others. Therefore it is still seen as a danger and why they released Seselj, to try and stir up division and discord. It won't work. New bridges, new Rails, new industry, respect from the rest of the world. These are the tools to independance. I'm glad the Chinese and Russians are there now with serious investment, and soon the rest of Eruope will slowly realize, one by one, that Washington and the banking cartels are poison. South Stream might be dead, but whethere the pipeline crosses the Black sea or Turkey, it can still pass thru Greece, Macedonia, and Serbia.
I think the future for Serbia looks brighter now than in the last 30 years.

Let's translate the Croatian ministers message shall we."Now that Serbia is in a postion to severly undermine Washingtons policy of Isolating Russia...
(Draganm,

Dragane, Serbia is NOT in a position to undermine the USA in any way. That is a pipe dream my friend.

Well I should have said" if Serbia gets a chance to finish South Stream, then take it!". The point is moot now, and Bulgaria is mostly to blame for the cancelation, but Serbia could have done more diplomatically to push for completion with her neighbors instead of waffling back and forth. The Turkish route is not a perfect solution for the Russians iether, and now the German's and Bulgarians are begging for a second chance, so we'll see how it turns out. Maybe it was a good wake up call for the Europeans to realize that licking Washintons a#$ is not healthy for them in any way, and the Russians have other options.
If Serbia does get a piece, then 49% of a pipe is better than 100% of nothing ; ) at any rate, I would really like to see Serbia adopt a policy and stick to it, a strong backbone will make you more friends (and fewer enemies).

(Draganm, 18 December 2014 17:20)Not much need in addressing anything else you said but to question this magical pipeline of oil from Russia. that is if this pipeline does not connect to anything how is it going to flow oil from Russia? Serbia is a long way from Russia and it has to make it to Serbia someway, right now that is impossible. Should it ever then Serbia will be one link on the way with Russia at 51% ownership in the energy sector controlling every thing, with Serbia only watching the oil flow in one direction and the money flow in the other. Of course Serbia will get a small part of that, but only 49% of the transit fees as the major owner will take their 51%.

Let's translate the Croatian ministers message shall we."Now that Serbia is in a postion to severly undermine Washingtons policy of Isolating Russia, by providing a pipe-line for Russian energy into Europe, we are finally ready to grant Serbia entry into the most pathetic, corrupt, and dysfunctioal welfare state the world has every seen. You should feel fortunate that Serbia is now finally able to receive the same crippling economic shackles that Croatia has enjoyed for years and we can be united in our servitude to the the World banking Cartel."
Serbia please realize this, the banksters running the EU will never GIVE you ANYTHING except dependancy and slavery. Finish South Stream, continue to develop your industry, build a strong defensive military capability, and deal with European peon's as an independant country, not someones slave.

Ari Gold thank you for the Kosovar compliment but unfortunately I 'm not a Kosovar ...yet.

Imagine telling a Holecaust survivor "someone to pay for your poverty " crap.

If one was to believe some of your nonesense of Kosova being soooo poor than why would anyone in their right mind want such a "poverty" infected place?

We all know the pre Slav(e) history and the value of Trepca.

Serbs are not in theur right state of mind fighting for a couple of neighborhoods of wthnic Kosovar-Serbs when there are more Serbs in Chicago.

Those "billions" you talk if might be true and all of Yugoslavia contributed but our natural resources in Kosova and Trepca only benefited Belgrade by the Trillions
Don't forget the Billions of dollars in demages
Serbia war machine caused the civilian society.

I realize the truth hurts but Serbia has to take responsibility for her aggression in 4 wars.

LOL pay up. Those kosovars always want someone to pay for their poverty. In Yugoslavia they got so much assistance and still was the most impoverished part of the country. Since the war, billions have flooded Kosovo-Metohija in international aid from the West. And still we have a very poor, underdeveloped society.

Sorry but not even a trillion dollars will help. It will just be squandered by your own "heroes" and your people will still be the poorest in Europe. silly kosovars
