Special unit member killed in barracks accident

A member of the special military police unit Kobre ("Cobras") has died at the military clinic VMA after he was shot "during a routine weapons check."

What the heck are you talking about?? By any chance when you refered to bullets are you refering to Justin Bourque who was that gunman that killed 4 Moncton or Codiac RCMP officers back in the spring or summer of this year who you probably know is serving a 99 year prison sentence.

Would the officer who accidentally shot the other officer be placed on what is called paid administrative leave at least if the officer is not in jeopardy of getting arrested and/or prosecuted. At least in United States it appears that it's standard procedure for police involved shootings to result in a paid administrative leave even when it involves a police official shooting or justifiably shooting an armed or uncooperative suspect.
