I’m not sure what point your trying to make is here, but it is true that before the Turks Albanians were Christians just like the people we call Bosniaks. I’ve never seen anyone write to the contrary.
Any comments make about Albanians as muslims relates to current events

Jean Pierre: I'm afraid that the EU doesn't work that way and cannot afford to do so. It already has enough financially strapped members without going out of its way to increase that number. When Serbia meets the conditions for entry it will join, assuming it still wants to. I think you will find that a number of existing members are ambivalent about the accession of Western Balkan countries to the EU. If they work hard to meet the criteria for membership all well and good, if they don't I cannot imagine much sleep being lost in the homes of the 28 Foreign Ministers. If Serbia believes that its future is best served by allying itself with Russia it is free to do so.

The EU countries should let enter Serbia in EU ASAP, otherwise, Serbia might follow Russia, everyone has right to follow a direction !
If EU delay to let join Serbia to EU, what Serbia can do ? Serbia should follow either EU or Russia. So, EU should take Serbia as their Member ASAP.

I was reading the Serbian-Albanian relations during WW1, writen by a Serb author, who was, truth be told was not bias, but just described the horror of the Serbian Army and I'ts people as it happened. However one little passage got my eye and was very sad to read. Not because of what he wrote, but what really shows behind it. It was something like; "20-30% of albanians had become Christians and abandoned Islam", thus implying that all the Albanians originally were muslym. Now there is nothing wrong with being muslym, escpecially to albanians, whom religion traditionally has not been the most important item. But why lie???
Why you feed this lies to the kids and generations one after another???
The undisputed FACT is that Albanians were Christian before ottomans came to balkans. Living proof of that is the albanians in southern Italy that are still christians and speak albanian after 600 years. Plese dont spread hate and lies, be respectful and future will be more peaceful. I think we all deserve it!!

The tone of these comments seems to suggest that the EU would like a joint entry date for Western Balkan countries but if that is really the case then Serbia may be waiting a long time. Bosnia is light years away from membership and seems to be moving in the wrong direction. Mr Vucic needs to take Mr Dodik to one side and encourage him to accept that BiH is not going to be broken up and that he is not helping Serbia by dragging his feet. Albania, whilst ahead of Bosnia, is still playing catch up and I would be stunned if they are ready by 2025. A lot of comments from EU bureaucrats should have a health warning; it has long been the case that they are unrepresentative of the views of individual member states. All 28 existing members need to be satisfied that a country is ready to join. A small country might be persuaded to change its stance but if one of France, Germany or the UK (assuming they are still in themselves) are against then it's back to square one like a game of snakes and ladders.
