Bulgaria "won't be bargaining chip," says PM

Bulgaria will not allow to be used as a bargaining chip in the relations between Russia and the West, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has said.

Bulgaria is still weak and still very corrupt. It still doesn't fulfill the basic conditions in the acquis communautaire to join the EU, but back then the Germans didn't give a damn. They wanted Bulgaria (& Romania) in whatever the cost. Pro-NATO countries wanted them both in to give NATO reliable access to the Black Sea and up the pressure on Russia.

My sympathies are only with Bulgarian and Romanian citizens, NOT their polictical or business classes who have had a good time enriching themselves and their friends.

Brussels fu**$d Bulgaria, and Bulgaria said 'Thank You!'. Now Bulgaria is complaining that it is not fair. Pathetic.
