Today, the tough Albanian warriors cannot walk around Mitrovica without being less than 20 feet from a Austrian or German member of KFOR.
(Ari Gold, 28 November 2014 18:26)

Interesting... Is Mitrovica such a lawless area?!
(icj1, 29 November 2014 02:29)

No it's the most lawful area in Kosovo-Metohija. They just don't take kind to terrorist occupiers, organ, heroin and sex slave traffickers coming up the bridge trying to impose their will on the population :)
(Ari Gold, 30 November 2014 21:37)

No, sure what that means and I'm not sure even you know that means. So, let's clarify it a bit. If a heroin trafficker walks around in Mitrovica, what happens to him? Is he arrested by the policy or he is lynched by a mob?

Danilo

we're not talking mere corruption, Ari. We're talking about the planned, wholesale robbery of Serbs by Serbs under the cover of patriotism. We're talk about close to a billion euros/year with less than the tiniest crumb going to where it's ostensibly intended.

Have a look at B92's investigation to start, if you understand Serbian

"sex slave trafficking, heroin trafficking, organ harvesting, rape, terrorism..."

oh dear, i'm curious to know where it that you have read this? or are your opinions formed by watching Taken and Laim Neeson? p.s. EU own report on Kosovo alluded that the North is is more corrupt and a bigger issue than the rest of the territory. if you don't like the findings, then come down and compile a report of your own

Ari Gold

pre 9 godina

ooooooh. I see. so when you said the north was the most lawful place in Kosovo you meant it in a "battery acid is safer to drink than arsenic" kind of way.
(Danilo, 1 December 2014 13:17)

There isn't a place where corruption is non-existent. The presence of government in too many sectors is a sure-fire way to create conditions for corruption. Because a budget must be allocated to preserve the existence of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, there are opportunists who try to pocket the money. But yes, if you compare north Ibar corruption i.e squandering gov't funds and you compare the south-terrorism, sex slave trafficking, heroin trafficking, organ harvesting, rape, terrorism... it's really no comparison, unless you are a complete racist or in your case (if you really are Serb), a case of self-hatred. I'm sorry you hate yourself that you cannot see the hypocrisy in comparing the two.

After reading some of these comments that have an anti-Albanian theme to them it makes me less apologetic for not wanting to treat non-Albanians who I lack interest in the exact way I'm meant to treat Albanians who are or who can be of interest to me.

Why do I get this nagging feeling that some anti-Albanians think highly of "Uncle Tom" Albanian males and "Aunt Jemima" Albanian females so allow me to explain those terms...

The term "Uncle Tom" was named after a character or fictious character in the 19th century American novel Uncle Tom's Cabin but to get to the point it's an American or African-American slang term for a black male who would do anything do be in good "standing" with non-blacks (at least white folks)even if it means betraying his own race.An "Aunt Jemima" is considered the black female version of an "Uncle Tom" and is named after an American breakfast food manufacturer called Aunt Jemima.

So therefore an "Uncle Tom" Albanian (if there's such a fellow)would be an Albanian male who wants to have good standing with non-Albanians or certain non-Albanians even if he is "selling out" his compatriots and you guessed it correctly that an Aunt Jemima" Albanian ( if there exists such a person) would be the Albanian female version of an "Uncle Tom" Albanian. Finally I'm sorry if there're Albanians who don't like those terms however I'm not sorry for criticizing Albanians who might not "be there" if their innocent compatriots need them if you know what I mean.

The Kosova army will insure that all Albanians, Serbs and other minorities living in Kosova will be safe and not threatened by undercover MUP. The thugs in North Kosova causing trouble are backed by or belong to the MUP. Any instability in the North will come to an end very soon. Also, Kosova will join NATO in the near future, thus further increasing security in the

Western Balkans.

So Kosova has bred enough goats for this army? I can see it now, Kosova's rife regiments riding goats. Yes Serbs beware of the goat battalions.

definitely a hoot

pre 9 godina

(Ari Gold, 30 November 2014 21:37)
Ari sometimes you are just a hoot. look at maps of drug trafficking routes in the Balkans and you will see that nearly all that go through Kosovo either come from Serbia or exit into Serbia. Kosovo is not a source of drugs but only a transit country among dozens in a route going from either Afghanistan, Turkey, Russia or others. to places in Europe.
As far as Albanian mafia versus Serbian mafia, the numbers are very close in international figures, elevated in Serbian and Russian sources. With sometimes Albanian being higher in crimes and terror than Serbia and sometimes lower, but always close.

Organ trafficking, if you are talking during the 90's that is pretty much debunked to either nonexistent or a very low number, and is only being kept alive by desperate Serbs hoping to someday fool the world into thinking the scourge in Kosovo was justified, but the world is not that stupid.
If you are talking about the Medicus case it was something that was allowed to start under the UN administration but was quickly shut down with the arrival of EULEX. In any international study, Kosovo is not listed as a big player in either organ trafficking.
Organized crime, Thaci is probably closely if not highly involved yes, but do you really think the Serbian officials are not? With the limited censored press there is still enough smoke getting through to show there is a fire somewhere.

government-connected Serbian criminals use the lawless state in Northern Kosovo to steal ridiculous money from the Serbian state.
(Danilo, 1 December 2014 09:33)

Absolutely. Opportunists of the Serbian Government in Mitrovica used money that was meant for the Serbian community in Kosovo-Metohija for their own benefit.

But south of the Ibar, we are talking about crimes committed on an epic, wholesale proportion. It is an indisputable fact that some of Europes most lucrative drug routes run through Kosovo-Metohija, that sex-slave trafficking is more rampant there than in the rest of the Balkans and where non-Albanians are literally open-season with no safety or basic human rights.

Then there's the whole organ trafficking thing. But the rise in the level of support for Jihadist organizations like ISIS is one of the most striking. Over 500 and that's reported by Pristina media. These lunatics will no doubt come back.

Have a few look at the following links regarding where the Albanian community stands in regards to terrorism, drugs, rape and see if its even comparable to one or two opportunists taking advantage of the national budget that's allocated for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.

If you look through history books and what is still happening around the world then you understand why the Balkans is referred as "Powder keg".

It`s no coincidence that Serbs claimed Kosovo "our Jerusalem". It reflects the reality, that Balkan is Middle East, not Europe.

Every country in Europe has had "teritorial losses". Most of them are much much bigger and much much richer provinces than Kosovo, but no one is so stupid to start a war for it.

Serbs claim that they have their history in Kosovo. Well tell that to Poland when they lost Lvov (Lviv). The city when all Polish Kings used to be crowned. Or tell that to Germany when they lost East Prussia. Or Italy the Savoy and Nice, the place where Garibaldi was born. Or what about Constantinople?

The other serb claim is that in the Middle Ages (in which they and all the Balkans still live) they were the majority in Kosovo.

Well then tell Russia to "withdrawl" from Piter, which they conqured 300 hundred years ago. And to return to their landlock country which they were before the conquests of Peter the Great.

Lesson no. One: Things change.

Lesson no. Two: Get used to it.

Lesson no. Three: There is time for everything, a time to fight and a time to make peace (Ecclesiastes).

For decades all we have done is to make life a living hell for each other, and so we all lived in a living hell.

Perhaps we should try to make life easier for the ourselves, so we all would breath easy?

If the already well-off EU officers of the court who swore to uphold the law and who risked their highly schooled careers, reputations, and their families' pride couldn't resist small cash bribes from the narco terrorists, can someone explain to me how this clan-based bunch of poor and immoral cavemen who have total disrespect for the rule of law will turn down large sums of $ bribes, or threatening orders from the clan elders and the "former" narco terrorists that are in the government?
Whoever is responsible for playing this cruel joke and experiment at the expense of the Orthodox people in the Balkans should look at their past experiments and performances in numbers of innocent lives lost and the damage done to the environment and all the presently living--including the yet unborn.

100 members, they would ratify the law. I don't know what kind of dreams do you see while you sleep.

You need to have 2/3 of the MINORITY votes.

ooooooh. I see. so when you said the north was the most lawful place in Kosovo you meant it in a "battery acid is safer to drink than arsenic" kind of way.

"But a law regulating it would have to be supported by two-thirds of assembly's members, and also at least two thirds of those representing minorities."

If you have so much influence in Kosovo then why all the constant whining?

We could always go around the constitutional law if the President issues a national referendum, but that would be the last step. Or they can do it nicely by the Serb deputies who are paid by Kosovar taxpayers and vote for their national interest. Why we allow them this right when it comes to national security is beyond me, we are probably the only country in the world who let minorities have a veto.

It will take only 1/6 of the eligible Kosovo Serb voters plus the other minorities to pass any law Kosovo Albanians are, at most, 2/3 in favor.

It appears Daniels a participant in this newly formed Kosova parliamentary democracy.

Which parliamentary democracy do you truly wish to participate in?

I find that amusing.

Ari, if you understand Serbian, have a look at b92's "Patriotska Pljacka"

It's a good investigative report of various ways government-connected Serbian criminals use the lawless state in Northern Kosovo to steal ridiculous money from the Serbian state.

While you're at it, check out the book of Brankica Stankovic and read what happens to reporters in Serbia who report on corruption.

oh dear, i'm curious to know where it that you have read this? or are your opinions formed by watching Taken and Laim Neeson? p.s. EU own report on Kosovo alluded that the North is is more corrupt and a bigger issue than the rest of the territory. if you don't like the findings, then come down and compile a report of your own

Danilo

we're not talking mere corruption, Ari. We're talking about the planned, wholesale robbery of Serbs by Serbs under the cover of patriotism. We're talk about close to a billion euros/year with less than the tiniest crumb going to where it's ostensibly intended.

Have a look at B92's investigation to start, if you understand Serbian
