Hey Peggy.... Do you remember the Serbian Volunteer Guard or even Milan Nedic. Serbia is well aware of its fascist roots. You can't win Peggy !
(Bam Bam, 26 November 2014 12:13)

Of course we remember and will always remember Srpska dobrovoljacka garda for their loyalty to the king and their tribute and sacrifice to our freedom. Howewer I am not sure that you remember Ante Pavelic and Maks Luburic for instance?

As far as organ trafficking there was a resolution which called for an investigation, remember, which by the way was the 3 international investigation and it concluded the same thing that there may have been some isolated cases but no conclusive evidence but mainly it is a rumor that is greatly exaggerated by Serbs.
(think again, 27 November 2014 11:40)

Yeah, but those investigations by the UN, ICTY or EU did not prove what our dear friend Ari Gold has in his/her mind therefore a 4th investigation should start, probably with Martians this time, and then a 5th, 6th... Nth investigation until there is finally an investigation which proves Ari Gold's thoughts!

No draft resolution on organ/heroin traffickers even facing trial for the accusations against them,
(Ari Gold, 26 November 2014 20:28)
It is amusing every time Serbs want to refer to heroin traffickers as if Serbia is not connected. All major routes coming through Kosovo also pass through Serbia and Serbia was a major route long before Kosovo was involved. The Serbian mafia is still ranked higher than the Albanian mafia as far as crimes and brutality.
As far as organ trafficking there was a resolution which called for an investigation, remember, which by the way was the 3 international investigation and it concluded the same thing that there may have been some isolated cases but no conclusive evidence but mainly it is a rumor that is greatly exaggerated by Serbs.

No draft resolution on organ/heroin traffickers even facing trial for the accusations against them, no condemnation of the "Greater Albania" flag flying all over the Balkans right now, or the Croatian terrorist attack at the San Siro in Milan just over a week ago.

My God, not only would EU membership be so disastrous for Serbia economically, but the blatant racism in these institutions is so overt that I don't know how any sane Serbian person could want to join this union.

Why are all these Albanians and Croats so concerned about Seselj?
(sj, 25 November 2014 13:15)
Not limited to those two categories, but the interest in Seselj is in his past and not the present or future. Irregardless, the opinion of Seselj in the minds of people is well entrenched and most likely will never change in either direction as a result of any verdict rendered.
As far as his present, he is nothing more than an impotent figure with the gift of gab, that excites "has been" ultranationalists. He has no power base and will not develop one. He poses no threat to any other ethnic group, the only danger he possibly has is in upsetting the power base and future of Serbia.
His campaign today could go in three directions.
It could just end up a subject of occasional news articles as his most ardent supporters are mainly from Serbs from other countries that have nothing in common with the local Serbs and do to the sparse distribution of individuals could not muster a breakfast much less a movement for a cause.
or
He could create enough havoc to topple the SNS control in Serbia (which would not be a bad thing) but would not restore his power base, would most likely send the masses back to the DS or other parties.
lastly
The structures in place may really use his appearance on the stage as part of their "conspiracy campaign" and win support for the "protection of Serbia" and cement the power of Vucic.

No matter what his threat to any other people is long gone.

Unless this resolution is addressed to The Hague, I don't see the purpose of it. Last I checked, no Serbian official other than SRS members greeted Seselj at the airport, gave a state-sponsored welcome-home party, nor made him an honorary citizen of various towns throughout the country. These things happened when Gotovina touched down in the Domovina, but as far as I know, Seselj has been persona non grata in Serbia with many of its leaders unhappy they have to deal with this guy running around.

You have equal chances to persuade an Ustasha grandson or a Bandera’s gangs man’s grandson about things of WW2. Don’t waste your time. The real problem is the fact that the West gave green lights to revival of Nazism as the most horrible version of fascism. See how free they feel in 3 Baltic microstates and it lasts for 20 years already. Now Ukraine’s turn came and not only states like USA , UK and Ukraine voted for glorifying fascism at the UNGA last week. All EU states abstained from voting … Despite many of them were the victims of the fascists. So they are rewriting the history and when a man like Voislav openly says something different they all go crazy. Because according to Orwell the one who controls the past also controls the future. Same with the Jews you mention. Quite few people believe that so many of them were killed. But if I give you the German statistics my post here will be deleted. Because figure 6 is an axiom already …

His sort of maniacal selfishness is the kind that was stamped on before, and will be stamped on again if it gets beyond the kind of rantings displayed by a few overly nationalistic posters on this site.

My first thought was that he wasn't worth the bother of votes at the EU. But it is better if the point is made that there are much bigger forces at work than he will ever have a hope of countering. He and his politics are now marginalised, and will remain that way because otherwise a big boot will come down hard.

I assume that the cancer that led to his release is life threatening and that as a result this burst of 'fame' for Seselj will be short lived. I would hope that people could ignore him for a short while until he passes on. I agree with the other comments, reacting this way is exactly what he wants and will just encourage him to do the same again. Should he make a miraculous recovery he'll be back to The Hague.

I agree with Josip. Why not just ignoring this guy. The European Parliament should also be a bit more self critical and should also look how they have behaved towards Serbia, now Serbia needs to be supported to move on and look forward. To me it is very much questionable, that the guy was released after 12 years, unconvicted. No matter, that he himself has also delayed the court case in many ways, it only shows the incompetence of the Hague Tribunal.

Of course we remember and will always remember Srpska dobrovoljacka garda for their loyalty to the king and their tribute and sacrifice to our freedom. Howewer I am not sure that you remember Ante Pavelic and Maks Luburic for instance?
