Just keep on clicking on B92 mate. Yes, the US presence is growing in the Asia Pacific but the US budget says that’s not quite true. Chuck Hagel was appointed to organise a much smaller military after the spending cuts, but the media tells it differently because according to them 2 +2 = 72.
“We are there and as long as our partners there need us we will be there”. Right out of the CIA BS handbook. Here is some news for you. Australia is now signing up to the new Asia Development Bank despite being pressured by the US not to join, in fact John Kerry phoned the Australian Prime Minster telling him not to sign up, but Canberra knows we are “either with China or against them” and the west is broke.
About 18 months ago there was an excellent article in the Australian newspaper (a Rupert Murdock paper) dealing with the real situation of US standing in the world and the journalist concluded that “when the US public finds out the real situation there will be an armed revolution in America.
How’s the economy going? I hear that the party that brought the US unstuck is back in power. Never under estimate the power of dumb Americans

Yeah, your probable life in the west is so much worse than that of Serbs in Serbia, why would they possibly want to live as you do? For the next 6 months why don't you put your family on a budget of 350 euros a month and see if that is the life you want or maybe something better????

Ukraine is a fight for Europe. Who wins controls Europe and if the Russians win the US is out. China has already kicked the US out of the South China Sea and that process on both sides of the world will continue until the US is no longer relevant.

I clicked onto B92 and my BS meter was reading red so I immediately sj must be posting his usual garbage. And here he is sitting on top of the biggest pile of manure ever.
As far as Ukraine goes should Russia "win" as you put it, it will only drive a much larger wedge between the EU and Russia. And there will be no confusion as to whether a new cold war has begun.
Where do you get this crap about China kicking the US out of the South China Sea. I remember a few months back you were claiming that pictures of an American ship in the south China Sea was actually taken somewhere else. We are there and as long as our partners there need us we will be there. Also US naval presence is growing in the Asia pacific region.
Anyone can print anything, but the mystery is, are there really people out there that believe what you say?

We scratch our heads and wonder why Serbia would even think of joining the EU? The EU has its hands full with the West's favorite problem child, Croatia. Then, Ukraine (another real problem, in more ways than one) wants to be in that EU club. And, as we know, there are current members who are suffering after joining the EU years ago. So, the question is WHY, if that question is still relevant? WHY on earth would Serbia want to be on a very fragile ship with those who thought nothing of bombing a sovereign country in 1999???

Serbia must remove kosovo from its constitution for any relationship with pristina to be normal. What happens If Serbia gets a government which decides to enforce its consitution in Kosovo? Unlikely but maybe.
(Brian, 20 November 2014 22:11)

If the GFC did not occur and Russia had not re-emerged as a world power, I would say you are correct in that the west would have forced Serbia to recognise Kosovo as well as remove it from their constitution without a doubt. However, the world has changed and the west is no longer powerful and with Russia and China challenging the west its power will be reduced even further.

The European approach to Serbia is like the frog and the pot of boiling water. If you take a frog and place it near boiling water, he will run away. But if you place the same frog in cool water, and increase the temperature gradually the frog will remain in the water, and he will adjust to the temperature and discomfort incrementally. Sadly the frog never says enough is enough. He will remain in the pot until the gradual increase of heat over takes him and he perishes.

Maybe for now, Serbia should hop away?

So Hahn says something different today than what he said publicly to reporters yesterday? What's going on? Either way, he looks incompetent.

From B92 yesterday - EU "not asking Serbia to impose sanctions"
http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics.php?yyyy=2014&mm=11&dd=19&nav_id=92288

Hahn, quoted last week as calling on Serbia to support EU's sanctions against Russia, also said on Tuesday that this issue was not connected to the opening of chapters in the country's accession negotiations.

I have not asked from Serbia to join the European sanctions against Russia, Hahn told reporters after a meeting with Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic in Brussels.

The commissioner said that Serbia's foreign policy was one of the topics of the talks with Dacic on Tuesday, but stressed that such decisions are a sovereign matter of the Serbian government.

Hahn, wake up and smell the roses. Even your EU decided to go no further with sanctions lest Russia bans all imports for the EU.

The biggest controversy I see here is that the EU expects Serbia to be economically solvent and politically aligned to the current EU agenda. This expectation is unrealistic, a sentiment expressed by the Hungarian government. So, who will blackmail who? I suppose it all depends on how much the EU needs gas from Russia, or how much Serbia needs financial donations from the EU. Personally, I am placing my bets on the EU. Niether Putin or the EU are going to invest much in Serbia, since the returns are low. Therefore, Serbia will have to do as Merkel asks, in order to grow.

Oh great, Brussels sent another to dictate what Serbiais "legally obligated" to do in its own country. What he is saying is that national governments of countries who are members or who are "on the EUropean path" are no longer the highest law makers in the land. Supernational EU central planners send directives and the population must ensure that they are carried out. Totalitarianism at its finest.

This organization is so poisonous for any one who values nation-state democracy, but especially for Serbia which already has a high level of hatred towards it within the Brussels establishment.

Meanwhile German company Delhaize is opening up a 70, 000 square meter distribution center to package and ship Serbian products to where? To Russia. Fiat is begging Serbia to widen their FTA with Russia which was agreed upon when Putin came to Belgrade a month ago.

Moral of the story, provide the right conditions for those willing to invest and tell Brussels to suck it.
