Because Serbia still has kosovo in its constitution I think they have to say this nonsense because they believe they might be charged with treason if they tell the truth. Serbia's ambassador to the sovereign independent nation of Kosovo Dejan Pavicevic works in an embassy. He is an ambassador. They have to cross an international border with customs and border guards. 63% of Serbia according to b92 and ipsos says Kosovo is a sovereign independent nation. Serbia must treat Kosovo as a sovereign independent nation to get into the EU. Opponents of Kosovo independence in the EU are completely irrelevant to Serbia getting in the EU. At least 60% of the people would vote to remove Kosovo from the constitution and recognize Kosovo but that's not even necessary because the overwhelming majority in the parliament would vote to recognize Kosovo because Serbian voters have eliminated all nationalists and "Kosovo is Serbia" parties from the parliament! This is nonsense. Dejan Pavicevic first say meant Serbia recognized Kosovo as a sovereign independent nation. The entire Brussels agreement every part of it is about how Serbia sees Kosovo as a sovereign independent nation.

I have read some of your posts over the last few days and I like your new motto of "There are no free lunches" It is so humorous to me as I remember just a while back when Serbia was amassing this great debt by going to every country and organization that could/would lend a dime to keep the coffers from going bankrupt, your reaction then was that these "loans" were given with no intention of collecting that after a few years they would be forgiven. You are so predictable.
But for the facts, Kosovo was assigned their portion of the debts that passed from Yugoslavia to Serbia when they joined both the International Monetary Fund and World Bank(both under great protest of Serbia and Russia). Which was good as Serbia was behind on their debt and had paid nothing on the Kosovo debt since before the war.
I also loved the story of your father leaving Yugoslavia because Tito was allowing the Albanians into Kosovo. I can relate as I grew up in the south (US) during the 50s and 60s and can remember many whites moving out of areas because the civil rights movement made it possible for blacks to move into white neighborhoods, go to white schools and even vote, although many lost their lives doing so. But today we have a black President, and those very same whites are remembered as racists. My father in contrast was a king of a man and he always taught me that you judge people themselves and not by the color of their skin.

If Serbia has been living off free lunches what do you call Kosovo’s existence? Oh yes Pristina has higher growth and GDP rates than Serbia proper eh?
All this BS about the west giving money away is just that. The only money Serbia ever got was from Brussels to buy off politicians. Well the flood money is only a form of war reparation but I can assure you that Serbia was paying its the debt. Countries have famine and people go without but debt is always paid my little friend. What a naive statement. What do you do for a living to make such a statement????

No there is no imaginary Santa Clause and Serbia has been paying Kosovo’s debt. So if the IMF or WB released Serbia from that debt they would have to compensate Serbia for the years they have been paying. That has not happened, my little friend. In finance there are no free lunches regardless what they tell you.
You work out the rest.

How could Serbia be paying Kosova's debt when Serbia cannot even pay her own debts. Free lunches are what Serbia has been living off for the last 10 years. And, don't forget the charitable donations from around the world, but mostly from West, Serbia so willingly, but ungratefully, accepted due to the flooding this year, my little shkia friend.

i guess you never traveled with a Kosovo ID from Kosovo to anywhere in Northern Europe, otherwise you would not write such nonsense.
1. You do not have to travel through Serbia. The preferred and hassel free way is to travel through Albania, Montenegro and Croatia. It is also the much nicer and more intresting way to travel, and you do not have to deal with corrupt serbian customs officers and police which stop you without any reason and try to give you a tickets. The amount of the ticket is negotiable than, and goes straight into their pockets.
2. If you decide to travel through Serbia, the serb immigration officer just takes your Kosovo ID and copies the data on a computer form, prints it out and gives it to you. When leaving your horrible country it simply is turned in again at the border crossing. Nowhere do they check if the data on your ID card matches serbian data.
3. Why would anybody from Kosovo fly through the Belgrade airport? You can leave from the Pristine airport and fly to any place in the world you want. Adria, the biggest carrierin Pristina, is part of the STAR Alliance, and has code sharing with Lufthansa, United, Singapore, etc. I personally do not know anybody who ever tried to do what you talk about here.
As usuall a bit confused my dear ......

I had someone explain how these permits work. A little Albo decides to leave Kosovo to say Germany. He has to provide proof of identity that matches with Serb records (not Kosovos) then a document is issued, in Serbian as his Albo ID is useless, allowing him to travel to say Nikol Tesla airport. Once there before he boards an airplane he hands that paper in and that’s it.
So much for recognition of Kosovo as some here claim

The only reasons I can think of that Serbia wont openly recognise Kosovo as independent is because Serbia doesn't want to leave Kosovo with a 33% share of its debt. How nice of Serbia :S

The IMF and WB both released Serbia of their debt over any funds that went for Kosovo many years ago. That is the one reason that Serbia still wants to hold on,is the west is paying for everything and they owe nothing. They think those funds will continue to flow, but through Belgrade in which case they could siphon off the majority before any of it gets to Kosovo.

Serbia allows Kosovo to join international organisations, to have a new telephone code, to set up KPS border posts and to set up Visa permits, yet when Dacic can only enter Kosovo with his Serbian passport, he smiles and says "Kosovo is Serbian" hahaha are you serious!!!!

For those who seem confused, just consider what things would be like if Serbia were controlling things on the ground in Pristina. All this would still be necessary. Serbia is conducting administration of relations with the territory of Kosovo as if they were controlling things on the ground in Kosovo. And its working.

Where is Thaci these days? We haven't heard anything from him months, it seems like. Has he become an organ donor himself?

This analyst went on to tell the daily that "the liaison offices will evolve into embassies and that "in 10 to 15 (sic) there will be an exchange of ambassadors, which means recognition of Kosovo's independence, which will come after the signing of a legally binding document."

Pavićević argues that the move does not mean that passports of the self-proclaimed "state of Kosovo" will be recognized, "because citizens travel with ID cards and documents on entry and exit." When the paper noted that the identity cards in question are issued by the "in Serbia unrecognized state of Kosovo" Pavićević said this is "a result of the agreement on freedom of movement between Belgrade and Priština from 2011".

Same symbols shown on ID are on passports as well. Where is the logic or a common sense!?

Anyone ever watch the old westerns on television, where the indian says "white man speak with forked tongue" well there can never be a better example than this.
First he says:
"Starting December 1, these permits, allowing Serbian officials to travel to Kosovo and Kosovo officials to travel to the rest of Serbia, will no longer be obtained through the intermediary - EU's offices in Belgrade and Priština, but directly via the liaison officers"
and then he says:
"explained that, according to the new procedure, Serbian officials will not ask for permissions, but will register their visits for security reasons."

So the Serbian officials will obtain "permits" but will not be asking for "permission"????
Now is there anyone that is willing to admit that they actually believe what he said?
