German official pledges continued support

German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel has expressed the strong support of his country's government to the reforms of Serbia on the road to the EU.

Serbs knows exactly what "german support" means. You can of course trust a German and trade with him from case to case but make no mistakes, if he (again)came with bombs and killed your family and destroyed your infrastructure, his intentions and "support" is certainly not well intended.

No one who has a good relationship with someone has to acknowledge future fairness.

Whenever someone promises to continue to treat someone else "fairly", they acknowledge that their "fairness" is already in question. It is bad news, it does not offer friendship or improvement it means quite simply "I am fine with how I treat you, and I will continue to treat you that way."
