I agree, it was stupid of Albanians to get the West on our side, its not as if it drove the Serbs out is it?

From Nikolle: "No, we got them to act as our air force, pretty smart"

I'd say pretty pathetic. Think about it. If you have been in Europe longer than anyone else, as you claim, why then can't you even defend yourselves? Why did you turn Kosovo and Albania into the most backward places in Europe and arguably in the world. You're a basket case and happy about it. That tells me all I need to know about your IQ. LOL

Nikolle

"Nikolle, so you agree that Albanians can't do anything on their own without their NATO masters and the Kosovo house of cards will come tumbling down when the west leaves, right? I knew we would find something we could agree on if we kept communicating. You're making progress."

No, we got them to act as our air force, pretty smart. After all, it got the Serbian army to move out. You're too simple to think of stuff like that, but don't worry, at least you have high IQ and pride

Daniel

and even if all of that is true (it isn't) it doesn't say much for you that a people with low IQ scores took holy Kosmet away does it? Maybe you should use your high IQ a bit more

You had nothing to do with it, it was taken by your masters.

Correction Nikolle, NATO led by the US took Kosovo away, not Albanians. Let's not kid ourselves here, Kosovo is on life support and if the west pulled out and quit sending money, Kosovo's quasi-independence would be over. Enjoy it for the time being.

njegos

From Nikolle: "Albanians have enough I.Q. points to get holy Kosmet from you don't we?"

And what have you done with it? Turned it into the black hole of Europe. A virtual narco-state run by criminals where drug-running and vendetta killings are the norm. Even with the billions of dollars the west has wasted on Kosovo, it remains the poorest region in Europe with no hope for the future. And if one considers Kosovo still part of Serbia, then Albania, your country is the poorest and most backward in Europe.

Boy, for a people who, as you claim are the indigenous people of the Balkans, why are you the poorest and least affluent? Seems to me that everyone else passed you by. The main Albanian industry next to drug-running is asking the west for handouts. Nice career path for your youth. So much for that high Albanian IQ. LOL

Nikolle

"Your ridiculous comments are helping to bring down the average Albanian IQ...and believe me, your people don't have any IQ points to spare! LOL"

You intelligence is so low, that it would be unfair to take into account when measuring the collective I.Q. of the heavenly people. However, Albanians have enough I.Q. points to get holy Kosmet from you don't we? Doesn't say much for you though does it?

Azir the coward, here's an excerpt from an article written by Todd Emoff, a Jew who clearly disputes your outrageous claim that the Albanians saved 100% of its Jewish population: "Albanians formed two SS divisions under the Nazis. One of these, the infamous 21st Waffen SS "Skanderbeg" division (composed mostly of Gheg Albanians from Kosovo and northern Albania) spent the latter stages of the war hunting down Jews to be killed at Jasenovac, and committing mass killings of Serbs."

Azir, you are a coward just like the rest of your Nazi following ancestors. I'm growing tired of teaching you and your revisionist friends on this site your own history. Run along now, I'm sure there are tables to be bused in the Serbian-owned restaurant you work at. Oops, I forgot, most Albanians in the US don't work, they collect disability from the gov't. LOL

From Danilo: "You know, last I checked there are 2 busses a day between Belgrade and Pristina.

Obviously, you've never been to Kosovo, otherwise you wouldn't say such things."

You shouldn't make assumptions on things you know nothing about. I have been to Kosovo, and two days before I went there, two Serbian policemen were ambushed and killed by Albanians. But according to you, this type of thing never happens in Kosovo.

More from Danilo: "Serbian is an official language of Kosovo."

And Serbs are official citizens of Kosovo. Yet they have to be protected 24 hours around the clock by international peacekeepers to prevent them from being killed.

From Danilo: "Personally, I've never been killed for speaking Serbian in Pristina."

Maybe you should spend some more time there then. I'll even buy your bus ticket from Belgrade.

Brian

pre 9 godina

It's silly to deny its dangerous to speak Serbian and people have been killed for speaking Serbian! A Bulgarian man was killed because someone though Bulgarian was Serbian!

Danilo

pre 9 godina

But the reality is far different. What happens if someone is heard speaking Serbian in downtown Pristina, Nikolle? There's a good chance they'll be killed. You and I both know that.

You know, last I checked there are 2 busses a day between Belgrade and Pristina.

Serbian is an official language of Kosovo.

From Nikolle: "have you ever any articles by Stefan Surlic, who actually was a Serb visitor in Prishtina and spoke Serbian in the capital and nothing happened to him?"

HA, HA, HA, HA! You're not serious are you?? You're sinking fast. Serbs in Kosovo south of the Ibar have to be escorted by international peacekeepers to and from school, stores, church, etc. And you come up with some guy who says Albanains are wonderful. You are in denial. You come onto a Serb sight and portray yourself as a level-headed intellectual while your brethren in Kosovo are doing their best to ethnically cleanse the area of everyone and everything Serb. Protected by international peacekeepers to just to conduct their daily lives! This is reality Nikolle. Do you deny this? Your nicely written constitutional rights for everyone is worthless if the reality on the ground for Serbs is that they can't even go to the store without escorts from the international community.

Your ridiculous comments are helping to bring down the average Albanian IQ...and believe me, your people don't have any IQ points to spare! LOL

Daniel

pre 9 godina

"What happens if someone is heard speaking Serbian in downtown Pristina, Nikolle?" really? have you ever any articles by Stefan Surlic, who actually was a Serb visitor in Prishtina and spoke Serbian in the capital and nothing happened to him?

I have read every single article on his blog and he has never ever written that he has spoken Serbian in Pristina, English yes but not Serbian.

Nikolle

pre 9 godina

"What happens if someone is heard speaking Serbian in downtown Pristina, Nikolle?" really? have you ever any articles by Stefan Surlic, who actually was a Serb visitor in Prishtina and spoke Serbian in the capital and nothing happened to him? I mean, you're trying so hard to paint the Serb populace as defenceless, when the reality is that they enjoy more rights than other minorities here as well as gettign more money from the funds of Kosovo, because you suffer from the same victim complex that has gripped the heavenly people. This condition is your problem, not mine. as for this " Your tired attempt to play the internet intellectual is growing very old", sunshine, you really don't have to read any of my comments, nor do you have to address questions to me, as you did. You can easily ignore what i write, i do that with a lot of posters here. I used to do it to you as well, but since you asked me a question, I think I had to give an answer

njegos

pre 9 godina

From Nikolle: "It seems to me that you need to familiarise yourself with Kosovo's constitution and the political rights Serb municipalities enjoy, something which Albanians in Presheva have no chance in hell of getting."

Once again, Nikolle misses the point entirely. How can you equate constitutional rights written on a piece of paper (but not lived up to) with the reality on the ground. Anyone can write anything on a piece of paper like the constitution of any entity. What really matters is how people are treated.

I'm sure the Kosovo constitutions provides for complete rights of Serbs to go to school, visit their places of worship, work at their jobs and enjoy full rights just as any other citizens of Kosovo. But the reality is far different. What happens if someone is heard speaking Serbian in downtown Pristina, Nikolle? There's a good chance they'll be killed. You and I both know that. The constitution, however, gives Serbs the right to use their language. The Kosovo constitution gives Serbs and all of its citizens full protection under the law, right? Please explain then why nobody is ever prosecuted for crimes committed against Serbs? So much for your constitution and your baseless arguments...again. Your tired attempt to play the internet intellectual is growing very old. Run along now. Isn't it time for you to post some more of your nonsense on another thread? LOL

Nikolle

pre 9 godina

"First and foremost, Albanians already receve a certain amonut of money from the state every year just like every other minority and Serbs in Kosovo do not enjoy any autonomy whatsoever."

It seems to me that you need to familiarise yourself with Kosovo's constitution and the political rights Serb municipalities enjoy, something which Albanians in Presheva have no chance in hell of getting. As for graves vandalised in Presheva, that has happened already. However, asks Serbs in Kosovo if they're willing to give up the funds especially set up for them, something denied to the Croat community in Janjev and Turkish community in Prizren, let alone denied to Albanians in Presheve

Daniel

pre 9 godina

I very much doubt this, because if they did, then their fund would be taken away, no houses would be built for them, and their municipalities would cease enjoying autonomy from the state.

First and foremost, Albanians already receve a certain amonut of money from the state every year just like every other minority and Serbs in Kosovo do not enjoy any autonomy whatsoever. I would gladly see that we start to treat albs in Serbia just like you treat Serbs in kosovo by burning their monesterys, churches and houses and threatening and throwing stones on children that try to go to school on daily basis. I hope that mosques will start to burn and alb graveyards get vandalised in a very near future. What comes around goes around.

Taunts of death. Poor Nikolle and her thin-skinned Albanian patriots. Boo-hoo. Serbs in Kosovo would gladly trade the conditions they live in with that of Albanians in Presevo. Please attempt to make a little bit of sense when you respond this time.

All men (including Serbs and Albanian) originate from monkey. Having said this, than history is subjective to how many years backward are you looking. If you go back 2-6 millions years, both Albanians and Serbs used to live in the same continent (which is Africa) belonging to probably two different monkeys families. So the real issue of discussion, today is: "which monkey family is better than the other?"

All these energy lost in pointless discussion, could be used more efficiently in order to improve the future (which seems to be EU for both Albanian and Serbs).

From Nikolle: "I outlined legislative rights that Serbs enjoy in Kosovo, which Albanians in Presheva don't."

Is that all you can come up with Nikolle? How about the right to live a peaceful life without your neighbors trying to kill you. Every day we hear about Serbs being attacked and killed, mostly the elderly who cannot defend themselves. Even priests are attacked. You and I both know that if international peacekeepers were not in Kosovo, your bloodthirsty people would would attempt to kill every Serb there. Interesting though that we never hear of Albanians in Presevo being attacked and killed. Their homes and religious shrines destroyed. And there are no international forces stationed there. And the best you can do is talk about legislative rights!! How about the right to live. I guess when you live in the narco-drug capital of Europe with terrorists elected as your leaders, you look at things differently that people from more civilized places. (Nikolle, 12 November 2014 10:53)

Well we are drawing comparisons from a sovereign, UN recognized state and a NATO protectorate. But one things for certain, since the great migration of Albanians into Slavic lands during communist times, you have had nothing but assistance and funds thrown your way. And each time, you manage to make your communities as poor as Albania. Today you get billions from Western organizations, and Kosovo-Metohija is still an impoverished black hole.

According to the Albanian Helsinki Human rights comitee there are about 2000 Serb-Montegrins living in Albania.
I could not find and evidence of them having been abused.
There are a lot of allegations that they had to change their names under the communist regime. I cant find any serious research about it. I dont know what all the fuss is about here, the communist regime in Albania was the most totalitarian ever, think North Korea and albanias were victims just as the serbs living there.
On the other hand, it is a shame that albanians in Preseva have less rights than serbs in kosovo, it shows we are falling behind, and very soon serbs will have less and less rights with the current government we have.

As I said elsewhere, it's good to ensure one's group doesn't get assimilated into another one, so Rama should start by providing for the Serb, Greek, and other non-Albanian minority in his own state with the rights and privileges he wants Albanians in Presevo to experience. He can start with eliminating the practice of Albanianizing surnames on identity cards.

Can't say the same for the Serbs of Shkoder or the Greeks of southern Albania/northern Epirus.

So before he starts to think Tirana's going to be some sort of obstacle towards Serbia's EU membership regarding Presevo, he might want to prepare for the guarantees his state will have to agree to by Greece and eventually Serbia when Albania's EU number is called.

Before making such preposterous claims you should pay a visit to Shkodra and Himara to witness how mistaken you are. My father is Greek from Himara and my mother is Serbian from Shkodra. My family has never experienced any form of discrimination while living in Albania. However, I did encounter discrimination on several occasions while working in Greece. My brother was beaten badly while visiting Belgrade when he was heard speaking Albanian to a shopkeeper. These ugly experiences are not unique to my family and are well documented. How do you people know Serb names and Greek names have been Albanised? If that is the case, how do you people get a figure on how many Greeks and Serbs are there? The nonsense I read here is seriously staggering. Dear oh dear. Maybe Rama himself is a Ramovic but likes being Albanian.

Well we are drawing comparisons from a sovereign, UN recognized state and a NATO protectorate. But one things for certain, since the great migration of Albanians into Slavic lands during communist times, you have had nothing but assistance and funds thrown your way.

Please Mr. Rama, exactly what rights do Serbs have in Kosovo that Albanians in Presevo don't have? Since my question to him is figurative, perhaps some the Albanian fanatics on this site would like to answer the question.

Let's start with the coward Azir who supported the killing of Serbian children by Croats during WWII. Then let's move on to Mirel who continues to live in denial and doesn't accept the fact that Kosovo Albanians and many from Albanian fought with Hitler's Nazis during WWII. And finally, Nikolle can chip in with her holier than thou (although she's atheist) attitude.

Can't wait to hear from you all.

Erm, do Albanians in Presheva have a special fund assigned to them? Do they wield veto powers? Do they have houses built for them? Do they live in specially built municipalities autonomous from the state? not that I think Albanians in Presheva should have these, but just to draw a parallel here
(Nikolle, 12 November 2014 10:53)

Well we are drawing comparisons from a sovereign, UN recognized state and a NATO protectorate. But one things for certain, since the great migration of Albanians into Slavic lands during communist times, you have had nothing but assistance and funds thrown your way. And each time, you manage to make your communities as poor as Albania. Today you get billions from Western organizations, and Kosovo-Metohija is still an impoverished black hole.

Congratulations, I see where all that pride you guys keep talking about comes from. Fantastic achievements.

"Well we are drawing comparisons from a sovereign, UN recognized state and a NATO protectorate."

..and? we were asked, what more fewer rights do Albanians in Presheva have compared to Serbs in Kosovo? I outlined legislative rights that Serbs enjoy in Kosovo, which Albanians in Presheva don't. i recognise that comprehension is a problem for you, so I forgive you. as for your other points, I can't be bothered to correct them. suffice to say, however backwards or primitive Albanians are, we don't have the record of having produced the 2nd highest number of war criminals after Nazi Germany, its the heavenly people who have enjoy that one

From Nikolle: "how about the right not be subjected to taunts of death to Albanians during football games?"

Taunts of death. Poor Nikolle and her thin-skinned Albanian patriots. Boo-hoo. Come back when the level of violence and primutive behavior of Serbs toward Albanians in Presevo comes close to that of the way Serbs are treated by Albanians in Kosovo. Serbs in Kosovo would gladly trade the conditions they live in with that of Albanians in Presevo. Please attempt to make a little bit of sense when you respond this time.

Wow, what are the odds I get a response from a half Serb/half Greek living in Albania on B92? Even better someone commenting here for the first time specifically on this issue without having made yourself known anytime prior?

LOL

LOL

One of these, the infamous 21st Waffen SS "Skanderbeg" division (composed mostly of Gheg Albanians from Kosovo and northern Albania) spent the latter stages of the war hunting down Jews to be killed at Jasenovac, and committing mass killings of Serbs."
