I think they could try, but do you really think that in the year 2014 the people of Serbia want to revert back to a time of nationalistic isolation? I think that is more for the Serbs who have left the homeland and want to keep Serbia behind a glass case for them to look at and say you make me proud. In other words those who want both worlds, one of freedom and wealth for themselves and one for picturesque tradition and resulting poverty for the homeland.
It is one thing to live under communism and accept it, but entirely different to not have it and want to bring it in.
Remember there was a reason you or your ancestors fled the old communist Serbia.
