To their citizens. See how hard it is even in America to garner public support for bombing ISIS barbarians in the Middle East because Americans have had enough of war. How would governments explain spending billions of dollars fighting to further claims of some rabid equally barbaric Albanians for more territory? You think that would even be possible today?

It's not 1999 anymore, the world has changed and for the better. So please, please, please... go all in with Greater Albania. You will be doing Serbia and the region a giant favor.
(Ari Gold, 8 November 2014 08:11)

Sorry mate, you did not read the statement by a certain Ari Gold who was talking about justifying "Albanian separatism" not about "spending billions of dollars". So we can safely ignore the rest of your post since it was off Ari Gold's topic :)

And yes, it is not 1999 any more, the world has change for the better, for Kosovo, at least, which is independent from Serbia, not like in 1999 when it was controlled by the MUP.

Err you do know that Ante Markovic, a croat, was the president when the autonomies were rewoked right?
(Daniel, 8 November 2014 12:39)

Ante Markovic was Prime Minister, never President.

Daniel

t's not twisted logic. You obviously are ignorant of the fact (or choose to ignore it) that Serbia took over the levers of power in Yugoslavia in 1989 when they took away the autonomy of Vojvodina and Kosovo in all but name and at the same time keeping the votes for themselves in the presidency

When Slovenes and Croats raised concerns at the path the heavenly people had taken, they were called traitors. No no Daniel, Serbs were THE prime movers in the death of Yugoslavia
(Nikolle, 7 November 2014 18:10)

Of course you are a traitor when u raise arms vs the army of the country you live in, simple as that. Serbs were not the prime mover of anything it was the croats that completed an aggression on Bosnia when they attacked the town of Derventa and it was the croats that decided that serbs should not be a constitutional people any longer. They simply wanted to finish what their ancestors started during ww2 and there is no way you can make me think your right because I know what kind of people they are since more than 60 of my ancestors were slaughtered by the ustasa.

yes Daniel, its never Serbia's fault. I actually remember the early Sloba years very well, I even remember members of the Kosovar assembly voting for Sloba's proposals under duress. The whole assembly was surrounded by tanks. When Slovenes and Croats raised concerns at the path the heavenly people had taken, they were called traitors. No no Daniel, Serbs were THE prime movers in the death of Yugoslavia

The whole story of the Balkans wars is Serbia playing "all or nothing" over and over again (and getting nothing over and over again).

Daniel

Serbs did live under one state once, it was known as Yugoslavia but for whatever reason, the heavenly people decided to ruin that entity.

Slovenia voted for independence from SFRJ as did Croatia and Bosnia and somehow you find that it was the Serbs, who were the only ones who tried and wanted to preserve SFRJ, that broke up Yugoslavia? Talk about sick and twisted logic. Why do you think that serbs fought muslims and croats in Bosnia and Croatia? Because we wanted to stay in SFRJ and not be marginalised under muslim and croat fasists like we were under the ww2. They wanted to continue what their ancestors started but luckily they failed BIG TIME.

Koco Danaj is from Tepelena,South Albania.
He is Orthodox Christian and as all Orthodox Christian Albanians before, who started the war of indepencende against Turkey, fought agaist Italy,Germany etc ,he has choosen to fight for unification of all albanian lands.

I dont know whether this is going to happaned, but if the borders are meanegless, albanians from Alb,Kos FYROM get married with each other as they have started to do so,having one soccer national team,or if they start building bunsesses together as they have already done than the unification is already began.
In my opinion Koco is just a promotor of what albanians are going to do with each other anyway. And they are not doing anything worng, unless they start fighting, which is not going to happen.
In 2025 Albanians will be majority in FYROM,why fight for it?

Right. I'm the moron, and yet you truly believe the Albosphere will ever get a chance to join the EU. A country like Turkey, an economic power, has been waiting decades for this and still will never get in for cultural reasons. Same goes for the Talibanians.

However what's even more certain is that NO country will join the EU in the near future, but probably never ever again. Jean Claude Juncker, President of Europe, the man who has more power than democratically elected national governments, has said that 7 years *at least* until there are new members and even then its unlikely.

If people in Pristina really think like you, then Hashish must have made a fortune dealing opium to his own people.

Nikolle

pre 9 godina

not to worry Ari Gold, we WILL get a greater Albania, but not in the way this moron thinks. we'll get it when Albania, Kosova, Montenegro & Macedonia join the EU and then borders in which Albanians live become obsolete, its as simple as that. What is funny to me is that Serbs did live under one state once, it was known as Yugoslavia but for whatever reason, the heavenly people decided to ruin that entity.
as for this person, have never even heard of him. what is funny for me to witness, is that the most extreme nationalist factions within the Albanian community come from the Christian Albanians, a lot of them Orthodox. that they have delusions of grandeur is beyond doubt, but an interesting observation non the less

@arigold lol if you ask adem jashari, Kosovo is today independent wether you like it or not lol. Also there wont be voilence in skopje or macedonia for that matter because macedonia will have to let go of the western 30% of the country if it wants to survive as a majority macedonian country. The albanians in macedonia dont meed violence to achieve seperation, only simple math. Like I mentioned previously, Macedonia within the mext 20 years will have to cut off the finger to save the hand. Its common sense, its simple math, and macedonia will realise it is the only way they can preserve their country. Unless they want an albanian president and albanian controlled parliament in less than 40 years :) The longer they wait, the more the Albanians will get and its only a matter of time before they "cut off the finger to save the hand". They know that the demographic catastrophe theyre in is their biggest threat! They tried to make a law that would support mothers who had more than 3 children (only macedonian regions) which failed. Shows how desperate they are. Mark my words, the albanians will seperate from macedonia without violence, only with demographics on their shoulder.

Ari Gold

That's good. I hope you're right. I hope a lot of Albanians take him seriously, I hope a lot of Albanians believe in Greater Albania and I hope FYR Macedonia is next. Their capital Skoplje is divided into Albanian and Slav districts. That means the largest population center in the country will be the sight of divisions and violence itself. It will inevitably drag Serbia into the conflict and then who knows what will happen.

What I do know is that NATO countries will have a hard time trying to justify Albanian separatism in 4 sovereign UN recognized countries. And without NATO, well I don't have to tell you. Ask Adem Jashiri.

Koço Danaj is known ONLY for his outings on the Serbian media. No one in Albania has ever heard of him, nor does he get to write his views in any newspaper, newsletter, blog or anything Albanian. The only place one ever hears of him, or the term Greater Albania for that fact, is in the Serb media.

It is interesting that the same guys in Belgrade that beg the Albanian leadership to divide Kosovo and exchange territories, the same people who fought for so long for Greater Serbia, now try to prop up a nonexistent problem.

The project that Albanians adhere to wholeheartedly is joining the borderless European family of families. That is how Albanians will unite with each other. That is how Serbs will unite with each other. This is inevitable, unless someone follows the crazy idea of becoming a pawn for someone interested in "getting back" at the West for Ukraine, by messing with the stability of the Balkans.

Koço Danaj is Albanian, but he does not represent them. In the end we all must ask the question: cui bono from such rhetoric (or the drone for that matter)?

Don't let Russia undermine the stability of the Balkans (the West's weakest link) as retaliation for Ukraine. Serbs and Albanians must smarten up and preserve peace, especially in BiH and Macedonia. They must not talk about changing borders, but making them meaningless. No one in the W. Balkans have the demographic "luxury" to loose their sons for other people's wars.

Albania is, according to him, "the only country in Europe that has itself along its borders."

This guy calls himself a historian? Did he get his diploma at the donkey university? With some knowledge he would know that almost all countries have ethnic minorities living on their ground, may it be Greeks in Albania, ethnic Germans in Belgium, Hungarians in Romania and Serbia, and so on and so on. And it's nothing different with Albania. It's amusing.

Balkans have the demographic "luxury" to loose their sons for other people's wars.

as for this person, have never even heard of him. what is funny for me to witness, is that the most extreme nationalist factions within the Albanian community come from the Christian Albanians, a lot of them Orthodox. that they have delusions of grandeur is beyond doubt, but an interesting observation non the less

Actually alot of Albanians take him seriously...and hes not a communist and he wasn't born in Albania. Just shows how much you know. He's from the ethnically Albaniam town of Ulcinj in Montenegro. Look Kosovo is already independent, the largest part of the project for natural albania. Next is macedonia. 500,000 albanians vs 1.3 million macedonians...and albanian birth rate is much higher. Within the next two decades macedonia will itself have to cut off the finger to save the hand and the albanian regions will seperate from macedonia. Its simple math. Within 30 years albanians will make up as much as 40% of the population. Macedonia will let the Albanians seperate because it is in its own interests. I do admit however that the albanian areas of malesija and ulcinj in montenegro will be harder to seperate because there is only around 40,000 albanians there combined. Montenegro will not however survive in its current form, montenegrins are a minority in their own country...only 44% declare themselves montenegrin. Northern Greece is also a lost cause as most albanians dont live there anymore and are most in athens and the surrounding area there. Kosovo and the albanians areas of macedonia are a done deal, however, and if you don't see that, then you should not even look into the issue as you are completely blind.
