"No political will in Serbia to address impunity"

Lack of political will in Serbia makes it impossible to address impunity for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the 1990s wars, AI said.

There might be no political will in Serbia to deal with war crimes, but in Kosovo there's enough will to go after Serbian war criminals. That will will never stop.

Ari, Milutinovic didn't serve a sentence - he was exonerated. And if you can't identify most of the names I've offered, that is your problem as it certainly calls into question your knowledge of recent Balkan history. I'll attribute that to your presumably young age.

Who exactly is left? Other than 2, I could not even identify the people you are referring too. Milutinovic served out his sentence in the Hague already. The bigger question is why should Serbia arrest a single person all the while known drug/organ/human traffickers Hashish and Hardinaj are protected under the NATO occupation? Alija Izetbegovic launched a war on non-Muslim populations in Bosnia and brought over thousands of Mujahadeen from the Middle East who if they are alive today, are fighting for ISIS. Naser Oric slaughtered thousands of Serbs and was let off with a slap on the wrist. Same with Gotovina. Tudjman never even went to jail for his ethnic cleansing of and assault on Krajina.

Seems like for you, murdering and ethnic cleansing is not a crime as long as the victims are Serbian.

Hard to imagine much else happening in terms of prosecuting alleged war criminals in Serbia, especially when people like Vucic and Dacic are in power. Why would they ever seriously lead an effort to uncover the criminal network that their former masters controlled? No, they're all too happy to see the dark truth of Serbia Past die with Milosevic, Arkan and -- soon, it would appear, Seselj -- or rot in jail with Karadzic, Mladic, Tolimir, Krstic, etc. As for the ones who today walk free -- Stanisic, Simatovic, Perisic, Milutinovic, Sljivancanin -- they presumably prefer to go away quietly.
