RS will never become independent, and the paprika salesman Dodik knows that. If RS becomes independent, Dodik will no longer receive paychecks from Washington, and Beograd would not support an independent RS because it would go against their plans of joining the Fourth Reich (opps sorry, I was meant to write the EU, silly me).

Dodik knows very well that without Croat support RS will never be free. It just goes to show that 'The Ustase' might be the smallest of all three in BiH but they are deffinately the smartest. The Croats might even give Dodik a 'Ustaska Kapa' as a gift for visiting Mostar.

The Croats need Dodik and the RS to be able to create a third Croat-dominated entity in Bosnia. The Croats are increasingly marginalized by the Bosnian Muslims and pro-Bosnian candidates who declare themselves as Croats are elected by the Bosnian Muslims leaving the Croats without a desired voice. There were over 700, 000 Croats in Bosnia right after the war and today that number has halved.

So no. Croats need the RS to support an entity of their own. It is up to the Serbs if they want to do that or not. On one hand, nobody wants to support further Greater Ustashe expansionism as you already have your paws on territory that doesn't belong to you which you have managed to murder and cleanse free of non-Croats. On the other hand, a Croat entity would give RS the largest territorial unit within Bosnia and a greater prospect for eventual independence.
