"The process of normalizing the Belgrade-Priština ties should end with Kosovo's admission to the United Nations, which Belgrade should not be blocking," Hoxhaj added.

And once again: Belgrade is in no position to block an access of the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo to the family of nations, the UN.

Only the UNSC veto powers can do so, and it's clear that Russia and China will do so because they don't want ethnic minorities to proclaim an own state on the soil of a recognized UN member state.

You are spot on!

Do the Serbs understand that Dacic needs take his passport with him when he goes to Pristina? But why does Dacic need to take his passport if Kosovo is Serbia? WRONG Kosovo is not Serbia, the Serbian people are stupid to believe it.

Isn't Hashim Thaci still on the MUP wanted list? Isn't there still an arrest warrant out on Thaci issued by the Beograd courts in 1997? If that's the case, why is Dacic and Nikolic taking selfies with Thaci? They could have done a citizens arrest, but they DIDN'T because they recognise Thaci as a leader.

What I find hilarious is Dacic and Nikolic making deals with Thaci, haha if I am not mistaken, dealing with a wanted criminal is a criminal offense, you don't see the Serbian people complaining about that, they are too busy sitting in their kafanas and saying " I love EU, I hate Seljaci, Srbija bre!"

Serbia has 'INFORMALLY' recognized Kosovo.

"@nnnn: Why Mr Rama asks for recognition of Kosovo by Serbia if this has been already done?"

Rama is asking for a 'FORMAL' recognition so that people with their heads in the sand like Ari, sj, and others can smell the roses.

Finally, they are talking some sense. All parties involved should stop mingling legends with reality. Neighbors should act accordingly. The sooner, the better. Hatred begets hatred. Sadly, people in the Balkans enjoy and take pride negative outbursts. That should come to an end.

Sign a legally binding peace agreement with Albania terrorists and organ traffickers who attack and murder innocent Serbian civilians? Sure, the US should also sign a peace agreement with the IS terrorists in Iraq. It's the same thing!!

Simple. Kosovo isn't a country, but because international officials insist they attend events, arrangements have to be made for them to be represented. This no symbols, self-proclaimed names or titles are used, and Kosovo is given the asterisk to indicate it's status is disputed.

This doesn't happen to real states.

Oh but you see, we aren't talking to a normal state either, we are talking with serbia here, which by all means is a fake, failed state that, by using your rhetoric, cant even protect its borders or citizens.

Why Mr Rama asks for recognition of Kosovo by Serbia if this has been already done?
(ppp, 23 October 2014 11:)

He didn't! What Rama said is actually something different; Sooner the Serbia recognises, what actually recognise unofficially, that Kosovo is no longer part of Serbia the better for Serbia itself and the region. But the media in Serbia decided to put a twist on the story by choosing to tell people that Rama "asked" for Kosovo to be recognise by Serbia. A bit similar to the "key" he apparently "asked" to be given to him.. you get it yeh?

It's true! Only 63% of Serbia recognizes Kosovo as a sovereign independent nation according to b92 ipsos polls. Sure the radical parties and dss have been eliminated from parliament and there are no nationalists in government but who knows what would happen if there was a formal vote of Kosovo independence recognition by removing Kosovo from the constitution. Sure most Serbs would do nothing and support Kosovo independence for eu membership but what about the types that were at the football match? They don't vote now or are satisfied by the ambassador being a liaison officer the border guards being boundary officers and the customs agents being stamp inspectors. What if that all ended?

Why PPP, that's a easy one, Kosova has been recognized by Serbia's political elite as a independent country! It's just that Mr, EDI RAMA would like for the government of Serbia to make it official by announcing it to the mainstream Serbian populous, and get this small issue out of the way to make room for more important topics that need to be addressed with Serbia and other country's in the region! However, it let's quite evident that the political Serbian elite thinks the timing is still immature at the moment, they are surly worried that a remaining 15-30% of Serbia's radicals might start rioting, looting & burning their own homes & business's thru-out Serbia! Now, if you were a Serbian politician & seen the same threat wouldn't you want to hold off as long as possible?
