It really is a problem, rote. And for everybody.

Gazprom needs the money it gets to continue with extraction and refinement of gas, they need to maintain the equipment for it, the logistics, the worker wages, the distribution etc. The gas CANNOT be given away for free to ANYBODY. Someone has to pay and really it should be the one who uses it. I can tell you that no Pole would want to pay for some other country's gas.

I fear that probably Gazprom will not cut off the gas supplies out of moral conscience and this will benefit no one except the Ukrainians, who will be getting free gas at someone else's cost. I don't blame the average Ukrainian, but I blame the politicians (past and present), for sure! I am getting the feeling that nothing will change in this country. The mentality is set in stone.

Hi Peter !

Ukraine is a big headache of all us. I think in spring to come the comedy will be over. The snow will be melt and everybody’ll see who and where and how much had sh*t down. The clown Energy Minister Prodan yesterday even offered Russia to pump another 4 Bln cubic meters without a prepayment. Peter you cannot even imagine what bastards we have in Kiev. They have no restriction in anything , no shame or even a stop signal. Up to now it was a Russian problem but very soon NATO will eat their sh*t with big spoons. I am really happy of how Putin turned them all down. Poland is too close to avoid problems and it was wise to put visa restrictions for the Benderasts.

Also you must be unaware that most Galitians (1-2 millions) work as gastarbeiters in … Russia ! So if deported God knows what they are to do there with empty stomachs. Finally when you talk about corruption you should keep in your mind that it is the most natural way of life in Ukraine last two decades. So there is nothing extraordinary there and the most popular Ukrainian song runs ТИЖ МЕНЕ ТИЖ МЕНЕ ПИДМАНУЛА, ТИЖ МЕНЕ ТИЖ МЕНЕ ПИДВЕЛА. Do you remember that after Bogdan Khmelnitsky died his son Yuri Bogdanovich immediately betrayed Russia and joined Poland. Little has changed ever since. So Yanuk was just an average Ukrainian prostitute.

There is no such thing as a free lunch and Gazprom is a business, not a charity organization. Ukraine is not some handicapped child that everyone should pat it on its head, hold its hand and feel sorry for. It is a large country with the capacity to have a bigger economy than Poland. It has to pay its own way and not expect its less corrupt neighbours to lay out a cheque for their costs.

They should send the bill to that corrupt crook, Yanukovich, or to Timoshenko, not us. Were it not for them (and others), Ukraine would not have this problem.

“They launched the war and now they want somebody to pay for it” – those were the exact words Putin said about the US soon after the Iraqi campaign was over and Saddam’s head was torn away during hanging. Same things were happening around Libya and now came the Ukraine’s turn. US inspirited coup d’état where EU played a big role is close to the logical end. This is why Cameron and his master were absent in Milano. All because they irritate Russia too much while the Euro-Asian meeting was 90% devoted to the gas payment issue. From the very beginning Russia said that we had already sponsored Kiev for almost USD 10 bln. last 10 months. Poroshenko is now happy about USD 385 while in July he rejected USD 350 …

So Russia is in no way going to move an inch this way. After Belgrade Putin was late to meet Merkel for 2,5 hour and on the briefing said his firm BASTA. So EU leaders left Milano with tragic faces. Great Asian leaders were at a loss knowing not they had been invited here for. It was a Nippon victory of Putin because some 4 or 5 months US-EU-SS united front of 30 states pressed us over Ukraine over the S Stream and over dozens of other items. But today they all surrender ! It’s a great victory and it’s our turn to put terms now. Please take your seats as the show is started. The first film is “How To Cook Ukraine Best To Save The Vitamins” and the film to come will be “Breakfast Of The Dinosaurs”.

I love EU when they wipe their tears with their pants …
