Many Serbs seem to believe that Albania took Kosovo from them. This is not correct. Kosovo is an independent country and is not part of Albania nor will it ever be.
If serbs are not being protected in Kosovo, then the best way to solve this is by fully engaging EU and the government of Kosovo and holding them accountable. Is Serbia cares about serbs in Kosovo then relations between two countries should normalize, and Serbia must make sure that the Kosovo constitution where the rights of all minorities are protected is upheld and applied.

Think about this: Serbia exports and does more trade with Albania than with Russia. Yet, we keep hating each other and thinking of ways how to best self destruct.
We should be focusing on trade and economic ties, that will bring our peoples together just like other EU countries did after WW2.

Easy to say when you've had a victory under your belt.
After taking Kosovo away, burning our churches and destroying our cemeteries NOW you want us to let it all go and live in peace?

Tell you what. Take back your UDI, allow our people to come back and live in peace and investigate crimes against them, rebuilt our churches and admit that Kosovo is a part of Serbia and we can discuss letting bygones by byones.
(Peggy, 20 October 2014 03:35)

The victory you are talking about was the result of your shovenistic, fascistic ideology that contributed to expulsion of 800 000 people of their homes.
Our victory was possible because people like you were in charge in Belgrade.

Kosova part of Serbia? nc nc aint gona happen!!!!

Why can’t we leave behind our petty quarrels about who was here before, and what we did 2000 years ago and other childish things like my dick is bigger than yours?

Serbs need to know that Albanians of Albania do not have any bad feelings or hate Serbs. During the communist regime in Albania we followed Yugoslav TV and enjoyed songs Lepa Brena and Zdravko Colic. We both want to become part of EU and create a good future for our children.

As an Albanian, I would like to say to my Serb friends, please rest assured, Albania has no intention of getting bigger, and we can barely manage our own little country.
No, we don’t want Kosovo to join Albania, let them deal with their own troubles; we have enough of our own. But we do have our unemployed nationalist thugs just like yours that are working tirelessly to make us hate each other.
Why can’t we leave behind our petty quarrels about who was here before, and what we did 2000 years ago and other childish things like my dick is bigger than yours?
What do we have to show for it to our kids? Our poverty stricken and backward countries?
Our peoples are not going anywhere. Other European nations managed to overcome their centuries old hatred. Why can’t we?

I want to believe in a Serbia and Albania where there is prosperity, where Serbs can come and relax in our beaches and Albanians can go and visit beautiful Belgrade. We can make it happen, our generation can’t be held hostage to the crimes of the past, it is not our fault, we want to live in peace, together.

We need to start collaborating in all levels to rebuild our nations and relations by focusing on the positive things that we can do together. I hope the young Serbs and Albanians will make a difference.

Here is my little positive contribution for my Serb friends, when the Orthodox Church opened here in Tirana; there were lots of Serbs celebrating with their flag.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ss-XpKHfwxI

Hope we see more like this between our people, we need to start to build this broken bridge.
Just imagine what would have happened at that game if all players had come hand in hand or with some solidarity gesture in the field after that dreadful incident.
Ivanovic and Kolarov are our heroes already as they were trying to protect our players and has made a huge impact on the people here.
Small things can make a big difference. We need more of this and the media have a duty to promote the good between our peoples instead of the nationalistic fever that has been tried and failed every time, only leaving a mounting of suffering and death for our peoples.

Im from Tirana, in 2007 I was in Stockholm for a training with other people from Balkan countries. We had a great time with people from Serbia, Montenegro. Croatia. The second part of training was in Tirana. Some participant from Serbia missed the second part without reason but other came here and really enjoy; anybody did not insult for any reason. When the said 'we come from Serbia" the albanian responde was 'Welcome to Tirana" , every city and place they gonne was the same just "welcome" Even in a pub where the manager know our nationality play at the moment Goran Bregovic to respect the guest from Serbia. So why you yell in Partizan stadium "Kill kill Albanians ? For what reason ??

it is nearly impossible to get objective truth fr their media, it's very rare. and getting thriu their censorship is like flying thru ack-ack in ww2 - in more ways than one.

one interesting example (of thousands): there was an article about supposedly digging for more (Alb) bodies/ body parts from Batajnica. so far since 2001 we've gotten back nearly 1,000 but there are over 1,000 still missing, hidden, destroyed, thrown into rivers, burned, etc. anyway, i was waiting for the article to appear in english, which not surprisingly it has not.

I think a good 60 percent of Serbian people need shaking up,....it's very sad when one big stadium only think you see it's hate

I think would be very a good idea for some nationalist Serb to talk about the flag ,...because it does suit his or her profile but i find it just stupid to comment for an albanian guy who like pranks

This is more serious, we've got a nation how hate to death another nation.

And government of Serbia seem very supportive to hooliganism and it's very dangers for the hole region stability.

I find very stupid even the parade of tanks, jetfighters, artillery in front of Putin,....hellooooo Serbia wake up, we are in 21 century ,... military parade for what????... to attack EU,...to attack Nato or neighbours
to kill more people ,..It remind Kim jong un parade or Putin to day
I'm really sorry if any of u fill offend it but this kind of politics it's old and racist,..i hope one day Belgrade and Tirana it's connected by motor way and trains so people from both side travel and i'm 100 percent sure Serbian people will love Albania and Albanian people more then they do Putin and Russia It 's only mater of time when this change happens,...Putin he is a gangster represent Serbian politics to day, how don't care for people of Serbia ,...the best way to stay in power promotion nationalism and hate

If Serbia could protect its citizens, then the security would have found out about this planned stunt. They would have prevented or stopped it before it got over the stadium.
If Vucic had any brains he would cancel the Albanian PM visit. The Albanians are up to no good and their statements show they are proud of what they did and/or are using it to slag off Serbs.

There is nothing good about inviting trouble into your country.

What did you do in 2004, against Greece. All dhe over-crwouded stadium of Tirana wihistled and insulted Greek anthem.
(Athenian, 17 October 2014 22:45)

No greek fan or greek player was touched in the stadium or outside. Nobody sang "Kill the Greeks". The return game in Greece though was similar to the tuesday's game in Belgrade. You did not allow any Albanians in the stadium although we allowed your fans in Tirana, and mistreated many of the Albanian immigrants that live in Greece.

I live in Tirana and i didn't liked the drone provocation, but those actions in Vojvodina and the chants prior to the incident, ubi ubi siptari, are really a disgrace who shows that serbian society has a big problems with right wing extremist. I believe you should worry about and do something to change it
(Tiranaboy, 17 October 2014 18:29)

Tiranaboy, I agree with a lot of what you say. I would suggest though that this disgraceful attitude can be found anywhere, and the entire world has a big problem with extremism. I want to add that things would be a lot better if the politicians didn't rile the people up. I think it is positive for us all to speak up and say enough is enough.

It used to be that if you go to someone's home as an invited guest, neither you nor your host would ever insult each other, you would respect the host, and his home and the expectation was that your host would protect you and treat you better than he treats himself. This is the old way. This is the balkan way. This is the way it should be, but this is not how it is in these dark days.

"We must not act like the Albanian provocateurs who that night tried to provoke an incident and set on fire the entire Serbia and bring instability to the region," Vučić told RTS,

The serbian Goebbels keeps feeding lies and hate to his people towards Albanians. Milosevic's propaganda minister accuses the Albanians for causing the violence just like Milosevic when he accused the Albanians for killing the 6 young Serbs in Pec in 1998. It turned out that Serbian security service killed those innocent kids just to blame it on Albanians. Mr Vucic had to accept that fact himself:

You know this is the first time I've heard about these Albanians in Vojvodina. This probably means they live pretty peaceful, normal lives there, don't you think? A huge contrast from the life of a Serb in Kosovo-Metohija below the Ibar I would say. Where ancient buildings are desecrated and the homes of religious figures are broken into, bring the violence right to their living rooms.

But the difference is between myself and the majority of Albanian posters on here is I truly feel the morons who are responsible for these senseless crimes to peaceful citizens in Vojvodina are complete cowards and should serve prison time for committing a hate crime. They would be doing their "patriotic duty" a whole lot more to not attack anyone, but to simply live in Kosovo-Metohija as opposed to trying to apply kosovar tactics in Vojvodina.

I am a Serbian living in Canada. I have a few Albanian friends and I can honestly say that those few are really great people. We put away any tensions our countries may have with each other and do associate with each other in an extremely friendly way. Growing up with these kids and meeting their parents over the years has really shown me that we are all human. Politics and religion are cancer to the world. Yes, I am a religious person and I am very proud to be an Orthodox Serbian (just like my friends are proud to be Muslim Albanians), but I do not believe in the tensions it brings between countries all across the world. I have a very far-fetched dream that one day there will be peace with our now rival countries (Albania, Croatia etc.) but I do not believe it will happen in my lifetime. Very unfortunate to say.

In regards to the soccer match that was played just a few days ago, I believe both countries and FA's should be punished as there were wrongs done on both sides. I am also very disappointed that if in fact it was an Albanian controlling that drone, these actions were actually carried out. I am not pointing fingers but there simply shouldn't be any place for that in this world. If it was up to me, I would have both games played without ANY fans. That way the best team would win without any intimidation from the fans and any politics involved with the fans. That is just my opinion.

Say whatever you'd like about my comment, but it is a sad world we live in today.

I am Albanian and I know for sure that those hooligans in the stadium do not represent any of my Serbian friends. Because none of my friends wants to kill me and would have never threatened Albanian football players. You as politicians - both Albanians and Serbians - should be helping, supporting and building on ordinary friendships like the ones I have instead of fuelling the fire for your short term political interests which I am convinced that you are not sure if it is worth it at all in the long term. Because if you would have ever really known there would have never ever been any war. With all due respect, when it comes to politics the one used to be produced and consumed in Balkans were totally disappointing. In fact, the future is more of a test for the politicians! Will you be able and willing to match the level of friendship like the one I have with my Serbian friends? If not, you'd better resign and find a job that suits your better because otherwise it looks like you are sitting on the wrong chair.

Albanian shops were attacked yesterday and last night. Vucic attacks Albanians one and the next day pretends to care. I trust devil more than Serbs.

Why can’t we leave behind our petty quarrels about who was here before, and what we did 2000 years ago and other childish things like my dick is bigger than yours?

Easy to say when you've had a victory under your belt.
After taking Kosovo away, burning our churches and destroying our cemeteries NOW you want us to let it all go and live in peace?

Tell you what. Take back your UDI, allow our people to come back and live in peace and investigate crimes against them, rebuilt our churches and admit that Kosovo is a part of Serbia and we can discuss letting bygones by byones.

mark - thanks for this link: http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes.php?yyyy=2014&mm=01&dd=21&nav_id=89062

it is nearly impossible to get objective truth fr their media, it's very rare. and getting thriu their censorship is like flying thru ack-ack in ww2 - in more ways than one.

one interesting example (of thousands): there was an article about supposedly digging for more (Alb) bodies/ body parts from Batajnica. so far since 2001 we've gotten back nearly 1,000 but there are over 1,000 still missing, hidden, destroyed, thrown into rivers, burned, etc. anyway, i was waiting for the article to appear in english, which not surprisingly it has not.

i only saw it cuz a frnd fr serbia sent it, pointed it out for me, then i was more or less able to translate it. we need full-time investigators, let's face it.

thanks again.

Serbs need to know that Albanians of Albania do not have any bad feelings or hate Serbs. During the communist regime in Albania we followed Yugoslav TV and enjoyed songs Lepa Brena and Zdravko Colic. We both want to become part of EU and create a good future for our children.

I hope people of Serbia find the light from the tunnel

I am curious if there is any shop in
Pristina owned by Serb. I have condemned what is happening to Albanian bakeries in Serbia. Both sides have to overcome their animosities looking into the future.

Mark

What did you do in 2004, against Greece. All dhe over-crwouded stadium of Tirana wihistled and insulted Greek anthem.
(Athenian, 17 October 2014 22:45)

No greek fan or greek player was touched in the stadium or outside. Nobody sang "Kill the Greeks". The return game in Greece though was similar to the tuesday's game in Belgrade. You did not allow any Albanians in the stadium although we allowed your fans in Tirana, and mistreated many of the Albanian immigrants that live in Greece.

The Human Code of Moral Ethics. We Serbian people only desire Liberty and Peace. Yes, no matter what race, religion, or nationality, it is the correct thing to do, to protect that individual living within our Serbian boundries. Liberty and Peace within Serbia for all. A lot of people got excited over the Albanian drone and flag at the game, but let's put it aside , it's not worth any further blood shed or violence.

The victory you are talking about was the result of your shovenistic, fascistic ideology that contributed to expulsion of 800 000 people of their homes.
Our victory was possible because people like you were in charge in Belgrade.

agim
