This visit gives credence to Putin. Something he does not deserve.

He has suppressed opposition and free press in Russia.

He like the commies and the tsars before him, wants to hold on to power.

Give the US etc., one bit of credit - they do know how to get rid of presidents periodically.

Russia has yet to learn that trick.

This visit does not do Serbia any good - Russia cannot be trusted to do much for Serbia.

The happiest people will be nationalists - the ones who took Serbia into wars and relative poverty.

• Bobby either you know nothing or you are genetic idiot ! What opposition are you talking about when Putin enjoys almost 90% support ? If you mean the marginal grant eaters here then I have to disappoint you as their have 1-2% support in Russia. Last year it was 2-3%. As for the free press we saw how they ALL kiss the ass of the State Dept. Russian mass media are not ideal but they give a truer picture. And if you are not a finished idiot you must understand it.
