Personally, I would have prefered just the Albanian flag without the map or portraits. But, depending from whose point of view you are looking at it, the map, and I don't think anyone on the stands knew whose map was it, caused madness. Thus, if the Albanian flag alone was "droned" in the sky, it would have showed the crowed as a bigoted mob. So the drone conveniently drops in the hands of a Serbian player, who, in turn, was to take the map and hand it to the fans for a "proper" burning. But, unscripted and unforeseen and unfortunate events took place, to the disappointment of the "drone pilot". Two Albanian players snached the flag and the chaos took place. It was supposed to blanket the Albanians with fear and fire up the crowd with the burning of the flag. But, as the American proverb goes: you dig a hole for the other, you fall in it yourself.
The only victim here is the free Serbian press and those who want to take the serbian people to the nineties.

What the Serbs say or think about us does not concern me much since they can't act on it. We are separated, goodness gracious, and that is a good thing. That is a good thing for Serbia too. We get along pretty well from different sides of the border. Look what happened to Yugoslavia! Not pretty. See what happens when we try to unite on the soccer field!? Not good. See what happens when we try to "re-unite" in the EU.?!*#@ Even the EU's foreign office denied that there was "ubij albance" chantings. What? Really? As long as they were chantings against a small people and does not call for the extermination of a race or religion then itpasses the racist test.

Stay tuned.

oh by the way, one more thing:

The police and the government never said that they are looking for the person(s) who piloted the drone...dahhh...what person...the Albanians did it. Period.

Always my friend tried to convince me saying that Serbs are as polite as the Albanians. I started agreeing with him, but I couldn’t understand how it was possible for 35000 Serbs in Beograd's "Partizan" stadium, virtually all of them, to be so in synccA8 (starting from the first minute of the football match)shouting: "KILL THE ALBANIANS"!
It is certain that on 23 of the November, UEFA can resolve this enigma and "enjoy" the culminant moment "of success" in fighting racism, but who can put some dissonance between the Serbians singers?

It would have been nice if police detained Serbian hooligans and not allow them in the stadium.

Sugarcoat it any way you like but Albanians came prepared. Do you think that drone just magically appeared because of insults?
Your guys came prepared to make trouble and trouble they got.

Mr Prime Minister,
Some high school children flew a drone over your packed stadium with hooligans
===…==
Right, it was kids again. How do we not know that? It's always your kids.
How about you teach your kids better manners and then your kids would not behave this way?
It seems that Albanians don't know how to raise children and yet they have so many.

Peggy,

It would have been nice if police detained Serbian hooligans and not allow them in the stadium.

However, it's not nice chanting racist slogans and not to mention while President Nikolic sitting on a VIP stand. It was more like game in a Nazi era.

For some reason this type of gatherings in Serbia seem to be a play time for your hooligans then you complain why. So far Serbia has never played a good hosts and a welcome country but has ridiculed itself publicly.

The pandora box is open now, this type of pranks will be more common in the future.

The trouble started before even the game began. I am assuming that you did not watch the game at, otherwise you will not make a stupid comment. When national anthem of Albania was being played, serb audience started slurs and singing chetnik song so laud that the anthem was not herd at all.

Riiiiight, so Albanians then retaliated with the flag of greter Albania which was magically conjured up by a geannie. This flag was not thought of way before the game. Is this what you want us to believe?

Right or wrong, you have to admit that was pretty damn awesome! I've never in my life seen such a clever way to antagonize an opposing team. Whats even more sweet is that it was between Serbia and Albania!

You can keep the fans out of the game, but you can't keep the Albanian Eagle from flying in and spreading its message!!

This will go down in history as the best prank against a soccer team!

P.S. I do not believe that Albanian fans were not allowed by the Serbian government for discrimination reasons. Rather, they were not allowed for security reasons because some animals that call themselves soccer fans in Serbia are known to kill foreigners. Especially in this type of match, I am sure they were out for blood and there would have been dead. And the Serbian state is impotent in front of these animals, or unable to deal with them, and sometimes even in collusion with them, as demonstrated by the Serbian state caving in so many times to their threats. And by Ivan "il terribile"'s presence in the field who was supposed to be banned after his actions in Italy but is apparently back to cause trouble. Right now, I feel sorry for those segments of normal Serbian society who have to live with these beasts.

"The goal of Albanian extremists was to present Serbia as a country intolerant toward differences and to humiliate all its citizens,"

The only one who was humiliated last night was the Serbian government. After giving concession after concession to terrorists, separatists and organ traffickers all in the name of the unreachable goal of EU membership, this is the thank you you've received, Vucic. After jumping through EU hoops to satisfy the central planners in Brussels and providing the Albanian separatists in Kosovo-Metohija with "victories" they can take home and gloat about, now you have gotten what you deserve. A humiliating middle finger right in the center of Belgrade from the very people you have been helping Vucic.

Is this obscene provocation enough to get the EU quislings in Belgrade to wake the f#%k up? Don't hold your breath. In a few weeks, it will be business as usual.

Andi

First of all it was Serbia's fault for allowing the fans to get inside and attack the players and second of all the correct response to deal with that situation would be to just let it fly for like 30-40 minutes until the batteries ran out and the game would have continued normally

There are videos and pictures showing the serbian fans chanting kill albanians, peltering our players and throwing flares in the field long before the drone showed up. As a matter of fact the game was interrupted because of the object thrown in the field when the drone showed up.

Maybe I am wrong, but isn't it the personification of intolerance NOT TO ALLOW away fans in the stadium!? NOT TO ALLOW the national symbols of the away team that is playing in the damn stadium!? I am sorry, Mr.Vucic, but you really ARE NOT a role model and you seem to have some serious problems with hypocrisy!

I am not talking about the drone and the banner, I am talking about the FACT that the Serbian authorities said days before the match that there would be NO Albanians in the stadium and NO Albanians flags in it!!! And this was all justified saying that the authorities couldn't guarantee the ORDER! Not much left for the Albanians to destabilize, huh, don't you think? You need to put those promised Russian anti-air missile systems in the stadiums now, Mr. Vucic. Those drones can be dangerous.

Seriously now, the disorders started long before the drone appeared with the flares and the chants.
Whoever put the drone there did a very stupid thing putting at risk the lives of the Albanian players from the brutal Serb soccer ultras. The whole world knows them and their violence, Serbs included, and their connections to the security forces in Serbia (as an example, the first people Dacic met after the elections before the last ones were the ultras bosses, B92 had an article about it).

It is a pity that the game went like it did, Albania was playing better, it had a couple of clear chances to score right before the incident. One shot to the goal and one corner after that. Even though with Ivan and his masked buddies as 12th, 13th, and 14th player for Serbia they would have been at risk even if they scored. Silly UEFA for letting these teams play.

This was a clear provocation by the Albanians, namely the brother of Albania's PM. Coming to the capital of Serbia and flying a flag depicting a Greater Albania while Serbian churches and monestaries are being vandalized and destroyed daily and Serb citizens in Kosovo are being brutalized for no other reason than that they are Serbs, shows that these Albanian troublemakers wanted to provoke an ugly scene. They are very lucky that the Serb players shielded them as they escorted them from the field.

It was a mistake to release those detained by the Serb police for provoking the incident. Albanian authorities can arrest Oliver Ivanovic in Kosovo and hold him for months without being charged of any crime and the Serb gov't. releases those Albanians who clearly incited a riot that could have resulted in catastophe. Shame on the Serb authorities.

I wonder what would happen if Albanians flew the same flag in Greece or Macedonia since they lay claim to parts of those countries as well. Keep up your devisive behavior Albanians. Every day the world sees more and more of your primitive ways.

Mr. Prime Minister, you cant be serious. I certainly didn't expect these words from you. Why don't you act as a diplomat and not blame the world for your failures because the entire world eyes are on you. As an organizing country the sole responsibility for providing safe and secure environment lies with Serbia. This incident clearly shows how intolerant the Serbian society has become. So what the Albanian flag/banner flew over the stadium. In any normal society the flag/banner would have been taken down and it would have been given to the FIFA officials and the show would have continued. Of course in Serbia the fault lies with Albania, Kosovo, EU, US, Croatia and even Mars.

On a short note and the only positive outcome that the world witnessed was the high class shown by the Serbian players on the pitch. They all acted in a very professional manner, shielding Albanian players from the hooligans and Serbian staff officials. They deserve respect for their actions and I only wished the Serbian politicians behaved the same way when faced with difficult situations.

Such a shame that our politicians are adding fuel to the fire. Someone please read Fadil Vokrris statement a day before the match. Few questions:
- Were they also warned that journalists would be held hostage and harassed at your airport?
- Were they also warned that there would be massive chants of "Kill Albanians" ? No one heard those, is it just normal in Serbia? (pretending to be ignorant here, no need to answer)
- Were they warned that flares and other hard objects would be hurled at the players on the pitch (long before the infamous incident) and that it would get particularly bad the if the visiting team came close to scoring , as they did?
- And the pitch invasion, and the brutality, and the Ivan-s, and stewards who instead of helping keeping the peace joined in, and the police who did next to nothing to prevent the violence and were strolling around as if it was all in the plan, except they too had a go at the visiting team whilst on the tunnel, were they warned of all of these things too?

What if Albania would have scored and albanian team would have celebrated with their own flag? Do you need to interrupt the game because this would have been a provocation??? So just because a flag was droned in, the serb fans had to invade the field and start to hit the players?

There were hundreds of serb flags in the game, and just because of one albanian flag that got in there you had to attack the players?

How careful and how mature his statement is compared to the beloved politicians. It clearly shows that our players are much better humans beings than our hateful politicians.

- Are you guys saying that before the flag incident you were being the perfect civilized hosts?

Last note, what happened was truly sad, some of us, few though we may be on both sides are really looking forward to a future when we come to our senses and realize that you don't get to chose your neighbors, we might as well try to get along. Credit to some Serb players for their sportsmanship. Also, just so that we are clear, I am not supporting the flag provocation, it was small minded and grotesque but never ever a good enough excuse for the hosts to behave the way they did.

I am not talking about the drone and the banner, I am talking about the FACT that the Serbian authorities said days before the match that there would be NO Albanians in the stadium and NO Albanians flags in it!!!
