Pluralism of opinion and free thinking are seriously endangered all over the world, but are not quite dead yet (not that some tireless trolls on this discussion board like that). Anticipated arrival of the president of Russia primarily symbolizes these noble principles and shows how much value the citizens of the host country place on them. It should not be only viewed through the prism of daily politics. Now is as good a time for this to happen as ever.

Sorry, but who gives a s... about cooperation with Russia. As events in Ukraine showed, Russia's influence in the world is almost nil so not sure where the bonus is in the cooperation with a country like Russia with collapsing economy and no influence in the world.

Nice... And then what's next? China is condemned to be Russian because you'll claim that half Russians have Chinese routes lol Dear, are you sure you are interpreting Kremlin's instructions correctly? I doubt the Kremlin wants to be this ridiculous!

As an Albanian you must be shocked of how fast Russians and Serbs revive their traditional relations. Envy and fear are bad advisers. Best if you make peace with the Serbs.

I don't have any war with the Serbs, mate... I know you dream wars day and night but other people have better things to do :)

Then as a bonus you’ll enjoy cooperation with Russia too.

Same with the former Ukraine temporary seized by the Evil. It’s also not your Albanian business. We shall solve our domestic problems without you and without the rest of the world. Ukraine is condemned to be Russian because half Russians have Ukrainian routes.

US and eu puppets have great power in Serbia and they will ukraine-ize Serbia relationship with Russia eventually. If Serbia wants to be in eu it must start restrung russia as an enemy. It must place all sanctions and ban magnitsky people. Us ambassador even says ukriane is more deserving of praise for red army work in Belgrade!!

I don’t know how Serbs feel it but last Friday Russia’s Minister of Culture Medinsky called Serbia as “a very important part of the Russian World”.

I think they perhaps feel like the Ukrainians after hearing the above and can see what fate their Russian brother has in store for them.

But I do think that Russians are sincere when they say they love their Serbian brothers. Where else can they find brothers as dumb as the Serbs who are willing to sell something like NIS for a fistful of Euros in exchange for some statements of support in regards to Kosovo and when Russia spits on their face (by acting contrary to all Serbia's arguments about territorial integrity, etc. etc.) Serbs say thank you, I'll always love you...

Great Leader?! Definitely a leader by any definition of the word. But a great leader? He seems to be moving Russians into a new future. But is it a good future? So few Russians prosper and so many suffer from poverty, mental depression, and early death from a variety of causes. Hopefully he pivots at some point and helps make Russia more like a European country, with freedom and prosperity for all, and makes Russia a positive force in the world.

I don’t know how Serbs feel it but last Friday Russia’s Minister of Culture Medinsky called Serbia as “a very important part of the Russian World”. It’s the first time I hear such a thing. After WW2 it happened that Yugoslavia as well as later China , N. Korea , Cambodia and Albania were apart from the Socialist Camp headed by the USSR. Personal relations between the two great Joes barred the relations to develop. My parents once went to Yugoslavia and brought back a big Belgian made carpet. They were very impressed and told many stories that the local guides must had told them. So even at those times Russians remained in a positive mood towards the peoples of this state.

And after the USSR committed suicide one by one our former brother states that had told us so many compliments betrayed us and became US chain dogs. So after SFRY was destroyed Serbs despite the American NGOs and mass media and despite Russia’s misbehavior in 1999 proved to be the only de facto Russia friendly people in Europe. Sure it makes risks for Serbia from the local American states but it also gives you lots of material advantages. USSR was feeding half Europe while Russia can quite boost the Serbian economy. To say nothing of the moral side of the medal that is very important too. And it’s quite natural that the US agents of influence in Serbia discuss the time hosting issue today. It’s just business and nothing personal.
