Police will ensure safety for pride parade participants

Milosav Milickovic, state secretary at the Ministry of Interior, said that the MUP will certainly ensure safety during the gathering “as serious countries in a contemporary, democratic society do.”

Well, gay pride events in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, New York, Rio and so on do not have to be protected against raving homophobic groups like they have to be in the Russia Federation or Serbia... It is a poor indication of true "democratic society" in these countries that campaigners for human rights have to be protected in this way.

I just hope we don't see a repeat of the right wing fascist demonstrations that plagued this event so far. If Serbia wants to be a part of Europe, they will have to adhere to European standards and laws. If not, let them join Russia.

If being "a part of Europe" means becoming a province of the EUSSR and throwing homosexual parties on public streets, then Serbia should stay far away as possible. Western Europe is the only part of the world that is economically declining. It is a power of the past and things are only going to get worse for Europe.

Gay pride parades are a venue to promote human rights and create an awareness of GLBT issues since EVERYONE has a family member, friend or colleague that's GLBT (perhaps not you though (Ari Gold)). I'm sure the "nutters" in Serbia will adhere to your wise advice though.

Since the above is a factual lie (very easily verifiable) I guess that by "world" you mean "Ari Gold's World"... What a wonderful land that must be where the homosexual phenomenon does not exist and where Serbia controls the universe etc :) I really envy you for being able to create a world of your own liking!
