The Serbian government should never borrow foreign currencies, which are controlled by foreign governments. The Serbian government should use only Dinars which it creates and doesn't borrow.

Michael,
If Serbia were to take your advice, it would lead to catastrophic hyperinflation. Argentina tried this during the 1980's and eventually people needed a barrel of Pesos to buy a loaf of bread. You should not listen to this forum's resident chief economist, sj, before attempting to be helpful to Serbia by making such naive conjectures.

Idiot politician. Serbia cannot go bankrupt. It can print its own money and tax its own people. It is not a corporation it is a nation-state. If people do not understand the difference between the two, then they have no place in politics.

The creation of Money and Credit is the easiest way to make billions. It is for this reason that money-lenders have jealously guarded their business model and do not want the government involved. The Serbian government should be the sole issuer of Dinar notes and bank credits. Private banks could borrow wholesale from the National Bank of Serbia and lend to their business customers at a slightly higher rate of interest. This way the National Bank of Serbia would be very rich and able to finance most of the government's expenses. Private banks could make a profit by lending government-created credit to their retail customers.

How can Serbia be bankrupt if the tycoons are stealing state funds as we speak? No party seems to notice this highway robbery :O

But wasn't your party steering the ship for over 10 years up until recently? Surely if Serbia is bankrupt, this didn't happen all in the last 3 years of your absence from governance.

So even if your message may be right, the messenger is wrong and should go away. No more yellow.
