To compare Putin's contact in Ukraine with Bush's one in Iraq means that you haven't got a clue of what's been happening in those countries.Putin has achieved his objective of effectively re-taking the Crimea - allowing Russia unobstructed access to its southern ports and also controlling most of Eastern Ukraine. He has played his main bargaining chip against sanctions - the supply of gas to Western Europe - admirably and it's happening already ( EU countries are already suffering energy cuts).On the other hand Bush (mission accomplished)left Iraq defeated with his head between his legs and a country totally destroyed.
As to the 30 million Ukrainians and their debts will be left to their nazi trash and the EU/US to sort out and winter is on the horizon.

We understand that our living standards will be much lower. Russia is the only target to threaten the new order but half of the mankind is on our side. India and Pakistan are very likely to enter Shanghai Organization soon. Wide scale drills conducted these days in the Russian far east are open preparation for a war against a nuclear power. They march 300 km they change airdromes and do other things that can be of use in case of direct war with the US and they do not mask it. More than 100 000 troops are involved. I suppose NATO has nothing to answer if we abandon the middle and small range missiles treaty.

Also Russia hinted it can develop American kind unarming first strike worldwide system. Same things are happening in the economics and around Ukraine. I follow the events and I can see not a single sign that Russia is to retreat.Two days ago he stopped to call Donbass as “eastern regions of Ukraine”. He came out of the church in the Moscow University where the Russian volunteer battalions are formed and said that that he prayed for the “combat and civil victims of Novorossia” ! Next day he used words like “the PM of DNR”. Each time Russia is threatened General Frost comes to help us. It only means that this winter will be very cold in Europe.

Hmm, the only foreign soldiers in Ukraine we know for sure about (thanks to the news from reputable agencies like RT News, etc) are the Russian ones. Are you suggesting that it is the US which is funding them? In addition, you are ignoring the teachings of the CE of B92 forums sj who has already decreed that the US has run out of cash and therefore cannot be funding anything. My advise to you: make sure to get acquainted with the brilliant research of the CE sj.

Finally, the Russian Federation is turning to its other neighbor in the East. It's only natural that there be some economic cooperation and opportunity between such two large and prosperous industrial powers. External threats also includes the threat of Islam as it stirs the Uighurs as it continues to stir Muslims in Russia. Russia seems to have a handle on them like the Chinese do not.
