The European Union has defined what it seeks from Serbia, when it comes to Russia, as a matter of "solidarity or active neutrality," said Tanja Miščević.

More wishful thinking, and not a shred of evidence to your claims. You, most probably, have never been outside Serbia as your gibberish indicates.

More like he can probably count on one hand how many times he's been outside of the USA.

Of course Greek politicians bear a huge responsibility for not only taking the country into EU but also adopting the single currency.If the common currency no longer existed, Europe's crisis-ridden countries could devalue their national currencies and strengthen their economies, because prices for their products would drop and their markets would become more competitive. This is an important argument for euro opponents -- and it's correct.

Eureka!!! How comes that all countries in the world don't devalue their currency and become rich overnight?! Perhaps because it's not that straight forward and it comes with some nasty strings attached... It goes like the following:

1. Greece leaves Euro and devalues the currency;

2. Greek-issued debt now becomes worthless and Greece can no longer borrow in the credit markets;

3. Investors flee and don't invest in Greece anymore because their investments there have lost value with the devaluation;

4. Now Greek products are cheaper and there is more foreign demand for them (that sounds great at first look);

5. Since there is more demand for Greek products, there is a need for more production, but without access to credit markets or investors - see points (2) and (3) - it's not possible to increase production;

6. Since the demand increased but the supply cannot increase, the prices of now scarce products will increase leading to inflation.

You thought about all of that, dear?

This is an important argument for euro opponents -- and it's correct. But if the euro were to disappear, Germany's export economy would collapse, because the German currency would then appreciate substantially.Unemployment would rise sharply, and the engine of the economy would be eliminated.Therefore,it suits the Germans to keep the value of the single currency at a level that suits their economy.

Will the Germans call time on this failed dictatorship at some point - before they, and the entire continent, go down the financial plug hole? The Germans have an unfortunate habit of recognizing the problem (they are not slow in understanding problems) but continue anyway with the view that having come this far with the project it is now impossible to turn around.They had the same mentality in WWII when it became obvious to the German population that the promise of national socialism was the route to ruin, they nevertheless stoically pressed on believing there was no alternative.

Give them the middle finger, tell them to %&$ themselves. That is the only way to deal with these scum, these EU dictators with no morals, no values, and even less brains.

Eventually, and it is already happening, this project will pin the peoples of Europe against the Brussels EUrocrats who are to blame for a lot of if not most of Europe's problems today.

Wake up Serbia,wake up.The EU has made Italy and Greece into countries where the local politicians can only obey orders from Brussels and look what is happening there. I am more than certain the same state of affairs will take place once Serbia becomes a member.
(Leonidas, 27 August 2014 15:46)

Leonidas,

So, what you are saying is Greece bears no responsibility for the sorry economic state she finds herself in. Serbia has nothing to be concerned about, regarding your comment, since she will never be allowed to join the EU.

accept all the obligations arising from the membership

In a modern democracy people are allowed to discuss issues and disagree with their political leaders, particularly when these politicians are actively supporting a fascist, unelected body like the EUSSR.The real threat to peace is from unelected organizations like the EUSSR who want to eliminate all forms of democracy, impose unending reams of rules and regulations, and impoverish the people; whilst their Commissars live like kings with huge salaries,pensions and unlimited expenses. Moreover, the theft and corruption within the EUSSR is so bad that they refuse to even investigate the levels of fraud within their organization; and their auditors have refused to sign off their accounts for the past 19 years.

To translate for all the usual jargon of the politician , it has been said here in Italy that Mongherini when has been in Serbia lately has carried this message to Vucic ...if you make the good guy regarding Kosovo you can export all the food that you can in Russia obviously we will protest but no sanctions or other features...This is the proposed deal seems it works for now

EU wants "solidarity or active neutrality" from Serbia

The question I would like to ask to this is "or what?"... what exactly will happen if Serbia does not walk in solidarity with the EU? The EU itself says Serbia will not join for at least another 10 years, so Serbia really wouldn't be sacrificing anything in the short-term. Who will really hold it against Serbia for pursuing its legitimate economic interests in a decade from now?

Will the EU sanction for Serbia for now following the Brussels dictat? If so, that's an act of aggression towards Serbia. Not the first time of course. It's the third time in the last century that a German dominated Europe has occupied a part of Serbia's territory.

The fortunate thing is the EU as large as it is, will never have the capability of forming the super state that it is working towards. Eventually, and it is already happening, this project will pin the peoples of Europe against the Brussels EUrocrats who are to blame for a lot of if not most of Europe's problems today.
