"Serbia not endangered, respects EU"

The Economist recently touched on the fact that it's kind of hypocritical for the central planners at the EU to criticise Serbia for selling raspberries to Russia when France sells warships to Russia to this very day.

The arrogance of these totalitarian bureaucrats who were not even elected by their own people. Where was their "solidarity" with Serbia when Albanian separatists began their campaign for separating Kosovo-Metohija from the rest of Serbia? Their solidarity was and still is with the very same terrorists who traffic harvested organs and heroin.

Increasing exports worldwide is simply a must for Serbia. Anyone who tells Serbia they cannot trade with a nation, but must treat its own territory as a country of its own is NOT concerned with what's best for Serbia.

And why should they? Serbia and the region there are not joining the EU, ever. Croatia got in due to their long-standing historical allegiances to Germany, they don't want Serbia and never will which is a good thing.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Serbia should not be so stupid .....trade all you want make money for your country and people and create jobs ....the EU is nothing big .....America and the EU are falling pretty fast ........the brics and all their friends world wide are all trading with Russia and that includes all of south America, Africa ,Asia ,turkey and the middle east.....so only Serbia has to listen and nobody else.....so that tells me they want the Balkans to die out and be poor,,,,,........be smart.......make money make big families and stop the stupidity.....

The EU had no companies at all not just in Russia but in the entire soviet union until 1990 and did not cause the EU any problems... Unfortunately for Russia, Russia is not the center of the universe. Even though Russia hates it, China is far more important that Russia these days - there is not much Russia can do about it.

Is it really that little? 6.7bn are peanuts to the EU. Considering that hundreds of billions were spent on Greece so far (with dubious results) or that the just the pre-accession funds are almost 12 billion euros over the next 7 years (of which, around 1.5 billion will go to Serbia). I don't think it is a good idea for Serbia to sell apples to Russia while losing the money needed for reforms in its judiciary sector.

You seem to forget all the generous monetary donations pledged to Serbia from America and the EU due to the floods. A majority of these monies have yet to be delivered to Serbia and may never be delivered if idiots like you continue to show ingratitude. Obviously, you have never been to any of the BRIC countries or the others you mention above. If you had, you would know that most citizens of those countries have never used a telephone and do not have indoor toilets, but then again, coming from Serbia you would think this is normal.

This is because Serbia's leaders have explicitly chosen to shift Serbia's entire economy towards the EU. And now that the EU is clearly not working and likely to collapse in a few years, Serbia is vulnerable for not diversifying its market.

The FACTS are that Russia now has a huge void that needs to be filled in regards to food imports, and Serbia would be beyond stupid not to try and take advantage of that.
