Maybe less people would have wound up dead if the same stringent policies were applied to Rambo Ramush. Let's hope such measures are therefore taken next year when he and others will most likely face trial. Again.

Bal. Anth,

It seems you are grasping at straws if you believe that Haradinaj will face double jeopardy. After all, how many times has he been exonerated with non guilty verdicts at the Hague. The next thing you'll be advocating will be that he be tried in Belgrade behind closed doors. Why not concentrate on prosecuting your thousands of Serb war criminals freely walking the streets of Europe, continuing in their criminal behavior.

Ivanovic is where he is for one reason and one reason only, he was almost guaranteed to win the re election and would have easily defeated the Belgrade choice. Therefore evidence that had been sitting in files in Belgrade suddenly made it into Eulex hands in time to derail the election and thus the Belgrade choice in all 4 major towns in North Mitrovica.

It is highly doubtful that the new tribunal that is created will rehash cases already tried at the ICTY. Also any new tribunal set up cannot possibly be dedicated to crimes committed solely by Albanians, it will have to cover any criminal activities by any party or ethnic group during the post war period. Such as the cafe bombing.

Who would have thought the most moderate Serb political leader in Kosovo was seen as such a threat to the establishment. Maybe less people would have wound up dead if the same stringent policies were applied to Rambo Ramush.
