Its interesting to see Serbia's decisions to be purely monetary based.
(Captain Kosova, 8 August 2014 16:05)

what's really interesting is that you believe (or pretend to believe) that there even exists a government on this planet that is altrusitic in nature, that governments in north, south east or west don't make their decisions purely on monetary factors. while you still believe in fairy tales, you might wish to stay at the children's table where others are just as naive

wow rocky, complaining about serbia's request for international help after a 100+ year storm and subseqent flooding left much of the country underwater.
for those that have physical property, once it is flooded it gets ruined. perhaps you'd know this if you had anything worth saving.
but to hear such a comment from one who still nearly 20 years later complains about the devestation, incured by his people and has watched with the rest of the world as his people did nothing since the uber massive cash infussions to better the lives of everyone of his people, not just his venerated leaders. come on, how long must your people be kept on international-financial life support? when will they start addressing the outlandish 40-50% unemployment? when will some of those millions make it into the hands of the dirt farmers?

i wonder if you're aware that both henry ford and walt disney were on the wrong side of history. or were they? they got to sell their crap to everybody making money everywhere they turned.
see what serbia is doing is trying to actually improve their domestic economy. they can't rely on indefinite handout and run a 40+% unemployment until some mythic gravy train stops in front of their noses.

It is very unlikely. Russia has very long borders. Smuggling opportunities are everywhere. A lot of custom officials and border policeman will get very rich. Remember Russia is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, falling behind even Kosovo and Serbia. It is not like this law will be respected that much.
(Reader, 9 August 2014 15:55)

No doubt, nevertheless Russian civilians will suffer greatly. Putin does not care if his people undergo great hardships as long as he is able to feed his enormous ego. In the end he will cave in, but it will be too late and Russia will enter a severe recession that surely could have been avoided. Consequently, Russia will join North Korea and Serbia as a pariah state.

(Captain Kosova, 8 August 2014 16:05)

Yes, and that's how every decision Serbia makes should be made when dealing with both the EU and Russia...purely monetary based and what is best for Serbia.

In this case, there now exist a huge opportunity for Serbia to increase its overall exports with Russia banning agricultural products from the West. It would be an outrage of epic proportions if the Serbian government was so foolish to basically slap sanctions on itself from taking advantage of this massive opportunity. Russia is a big country and Serbia has now become the largest importer of foods to Russia with the sanctions.

What is the Albanian way of dealing with things? Try to latch onto an empire to hopefully fight your war for you and keep giving you hands out to feed your population?

That's what Albanians always do. Ottomans, Soviet Union, China, Yugoslavia.... now you survive off Western handouts and hand-me-downs. What a pathetic way to live, I wouldn't wish this for my people.

Wasn't Serbia just a few weeks ago, trying to have us all believe that the floods caused so much devastation to her agricultural section & future output?

Maybe, a few donor states will now have a seconded look at providing any potential monetary aid? If Serbia's agriculture expects that much revenue growth from her agriculture field, then it must not have been seriously effected by the recent flooding?

Its interesting to see Serbia's decisions to be purely monetary based. They are essentially whoring themselves to the highest bidder despite the fact that they will be on the wrong side of history with their decision. They are dancing around believing that they made out like geniuses by refusing to place sanctions on Russia. However, Serbia in their usual fashion makes decisions out of expediency for the moment without looking any further out past tomorrow. This will all come back to bite Serbia in the a$$ down the road. The EU and western countries will remember this....

Kosova, is it your position that Serbia should have declared sanctions on Russia so that it could become even poorer? Is that the purpose of the EU, to interrupt trade? They can't find a political solution so they go after each others wallets, and you blame people for not playing along with this stupidity? Farmers in Europe only get one crop a year, and if their governments get into trade wars, family farms will fail and all that will be left will be large corporate farms. Is that what Europe wants? Do you think any regular person in Europe or Russia is going to be better off for these sanctions?

Don't you remember the 1990s, did you enjoy living under sanctions?

Good move, Serbia. While our servile Western political whores are bankrupting local producers, who rely on Russia for importing their produce, Serbia is capitalizing on the situation and will see their local food production and export sky rocket. I truly envy Serbia for having a government who, for the most part, seems to maintain a rational and objective stance, rather than getting down on their knees and preparing to pleasure their Western masters.

I fear only that with Serbia joining the EU, the government will be so corrupted that this rare gift will vanish too.

wow rocky, complaining about serbia's request for international help after a 100+ year storm and subseqent flooding left much of the country underwater.
for those that have physical property, once it is flooded it gets ruined. perhaps you'd know this if you had anything worth saving.
but to hear such a comment from one who still nearly 20 years later complains about the devestation, incured by his people and has watched with the rest of the world as his people did nothing since the uber massive cash infussions to better the lives of everyone of his people, not just his venerated leaders. come on, how long must your people be kept on international-financial life support? when will they start addressing the outlandish 40-50% unemployment? when will some of those millions make it into the hands of the dirt farmers?

The typical, insecure (and jobless apparently) albanian trolls here very amusing. Everyday its the same old racist and snarky "na-na na-na boo-boo" remarks. Oh well, keep it up. Maybe one day all your time and effort will pay off, but probably not. Cao!

Its interesting to see Serbia's decisions to be purely monetary based.

what's really interesting is that you believe (or pretend to believe) that there even exists a government on this planet that is altrusitic in nature, that governments in north, south east or west don't make their decisions purely on monetary factors. while you still believe in fairy tales, you might wish to stay at the children's table where others are just as naive

i wonder if you're aware that both henry ford and walt disney were on the wrong side of history. or were they? they got to sell their crap to everybody making money everywhere they turned.
see what serbia is doing is trying to actually improve their domestic economy. they can't rely on indefinite handout and run a 40+% unemployment until some mythic gravy train stops in front of their noses.
